Suilaid!
I love Theoden's speech in the ROTK movie. The best part is that some of it is taken from the book... "Arise, arise, Riders of Theoden! Fell deeds awake: fire and slaughter! Spear shall be shaken, shield be splintered, a sword-day, a red day, ere the sun rises! Ride now, ride now! Ride to Gondor!" I'm glad they included a version of his speech in the film. It might be just me; but I'm very prone to getting all emotional and inspired at times like that...
I might include though, that in The Two Towers, when Theoden says, "now for wrath, now for ruin, and a red dawn" , that's taken from Eomer in the ROTK book saying: "Now for wrath, now for ruin and a red nightfall!" Never mind. I like that bit. In fact, all Theoden's speeches are pretty great.
Ok, getting to the point... who else loves Theoden's Pelennor Fields speech? ^_^
xxx

It's such a beautiful speech and such an amazing moment. I really love all the speeches in the movies though, I hope someday I get to see them on a big screen since I didn't get to see them in theaters.

I absolutely adore those speeches. In fact, I might even consider them to be among by favorite scenes of the whole trilogy.

Something about them never fails to give me goose bumps...or if I'm feeling paticulary emotional that day, even shed a tear or two.

I get chills every time Theoden and Aragorn do their speeches before the battles. They're so well written, and so well delivered. It really is a good "battle cry."

And don't forget Eomer's stirring up the troops at Edoras!

As for Theoden's speech before plunging into battle, my buddy started clapping out loud and cheering him & Snowmane on at the movie theatre....every time!

Yeah, I really like that speech. I have to say that Aragorn's speech is better! ;)

Yes! I LOVE that speech. I have this odd and slightly annoying habit of scribbling my favorite LOTR quotes on the back of boring worksheets in English class and then reading them to random people.

I love what he says because I a) love Rohan in general and b) am slightly too obsessed with the battle scenes. I am always trying to write war cries for other cultures in LOTR and recite them very loudly at lunch.
