You know, it's weird, movie mistakes always annoy me because I want to believe LotR's perfect. It's a weird thing. Anyway, to add to the list, there's a shot in RotK (I forget whether it's extended or not) where you are looking up through a trapdoor in the tower where the orcs have imprisoned Frodo, and there's a REALLY obvious shot of some lighting equipment.

Shortly after the attack of the wargs in TTT you see Gimli pull his axe out of one of the wargs (or at least he slew a couple of orcs before). The funny thing is that there´s no blood at all on his weapon!!

*Sigh* I can never find any interesting glitches either. It's kind of funny to read them though. The only thing is, then next time I watch the movie I'm always looking for the glitches!

One thing that bugs me is when Pippin steals the palantir from Gandalf. He puts the pitcher in place of the palantir, but when Gandalf wakes up the pitcher is nowhere to be found! Unless I am mistaken...

i think the biggest mistake is in TTT pippin is about to get flattened by the horse near fangorn and his hands are supposed to be bound but ther free and at his sides then wen he rolls to his side to avoid the horse his hands are bound again

i have reclaimed osgiliath for gondor and it will never be retaken by orcs whos with me

the only things right now that i can think of are little things like all through the movies (i think) but espesially in ttt the buckel thing that is holding the arrows on legolas keeps switching sides on his chest.

also in ttt when treebeard starts to walk, from our veiw he startes to put one of his feet down...i can't remember which one, but then it switches to a front view and its the other foot and theres really no indication that he completly stepped on the first one.

i know there are more that i've noticed but i just can't think of them right now.

one funny one is when aragorn and the four hobbits are walking to rivendell and aragorn runs into the camera while he's saying "into the wild" and it moves slightly~FotR

In TTT, right before Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli see Gandalf again in Fangorn, The Elven broochs switch from pointing left to pointing right and back.

I wouldn't have noticed but Philippa Boyens or Fran Walsh brought it up on the director's commentary. They had to flip a few shots around.

Also, while in Helm's Deep, Eowyn's hair keeps changing. (I have a rant about this on my website.)

Sorry, these are TTT mistakes.

there's one that I don't seem to forget, lol... when Pippin and Gandalf first meet Denethor after entering Minas Tirith, when they leave, the bottom of Gandalf's cloak(sp?) is a little filthy...the camera goes back to Denethor and then goes BACK to gandalf and the cloak has a filth like 10 cms wide, lol

In FotR, when frodo and arwen are being chased by the ringwraiths, frodo had green goo all over his face, but later it's gone. on the commentary, i think, PJ or someone said it was too gross so they left it out.

In the end of TRotK when Frodo wakes up and meets the rest of the Fellowship again, Merry & Pippin burst in. The door next to them has a design by their heads. Later, when Legolas and Aragorn come through, the door has the same design by their heads. Guess they forgot about scale issues, eh?

..I know it´s just a question of how the cutting was done, but when Pippin gets thrown out of the burial room by Denethor...
...the first clip from behind is the `small person stunt man´...clip to Denethor ...clip to him throwing Pippin out,
...but between the clips you can se the switch between the stunt player and Billy Boyd
