Don't even start me on flies... they are sooo annoying when you're trying to eat lunch out in the desert. Last time we had 2 drown in our drinks, and 10 crawling all over the pomello... and flies are actually some of the most dangerous animals alive because of the germs they carry.

I've always had an affinity for moths, and so when I was younger if I'd find a dead one in a lampshade or on a windowsill, I'd go to great lengths in preparing a funeral for it. I'd even find to small sticks, tie them together with a piece of grass to make a tiny cross! xD

^ Aww...
I have a dead butterfly... it's waiting for a case from IKEA, I won't put it in with my beetles, it's too pretty and special for that.

We've had flies drown in our drinks before... both at home and in the desert. Though last time we were out in the desert almost all of us had an encounter with a fly in our cup.

Hey girls, haven't been in here for a while.
Guess what?? I got a facial today!! It was sooo cool. Now my face is so soft and clean, and she massaged my back, hands and feet, and put the latter two in little heating pouches. And there was warm steam that blew in my face.
Ahhh... 75 minutes of paradice.

*shudders* Ew, I hate spiders. I want to freak out whenever I see one.

Step out of your comfort zone... that's all I have to say.
I'm an extreme introvert myself, I don't talk much unless I get going, like to be on my own, etc... so I'm not much help there, but I find a deep breath and a few steps toward them will MAKE you have to introduce yourself and meet them... otherwise you turn away awkwardly and I find that's worse.

I need people, I like people, I'm not exactly silent usually...and yet, at the same time, I find talking to new people incredibly scary. Ah, I view that the total opposite. I'm not shy, I'm just alloof. I don't really believe that I really need people and sometimes, I just don't want people. But then again, I'm use to being alone and I have come to believe that that's my comfort. Aerlinn wrote: It's probably caused by all the stressed things I've been going through lately... arg. Like my cousin, who got baptized today. I congratulated her of course, since her hoping for something and realizing she has a future definitely made her a better person. But well...I'm not christian ( as in, I'm actually pagan (was it for a long time, officially realized it about a month ago) , so yeah, it's not just a...uninterest in religion in general) and I'm being pushed in the direction of baptizing myself by that side of the family...while the other side of the family tries is atheist and wishes I would be "more rational". Hmpf. So yeah. I don't see what they have to complain about honestly, since I believe in evolution and so on. I just believe in something more as well. But yeah.
Oh? Does your family know of your spiritual views? Or are they just pushing you into choosing? I don't know if I have advice for you but I believe that I must spill what's on my chest.
When you have mixed religions within your family, it's hard to choose. I've been there. I was born half Catholic and half Protestant. My dad wanted to force the Protestant religion on us but my mother wouldn't hear of it. She told him that we will decide what religion we want to be and I chose neither. I'm not religious at all. Just like you, I appearently had been a Pagan for some time and didn't really know until recently. Now I find myself reading books and studying about trying to figure if this is really what I wish to convert myself to. My mind my think so but my heart is still trying to fully decide. It's hard to find your spiritual guidance when your family views are mixed. Me personally, would never tell my family that I am studing Wicca. Escpecially since my mother is Catholic. And a lot of Christians and Catholics are very against Wiccan and I don't know if my mother would be one of those people. My younger sister and younger brother are Atheists. Even as that I don't think my sister would even approve of my doing. I learned that around Yule. She and my mother said Merry *shudders* 'Christ'mas. While I, on other hand, refuse to say it. I'm not religious, so therefor, I should not have to say something with the word 'Christ' in it. It goes against me. Although my sister will freely say even though she is Atheist. I wonder really. I went great lengths to aviod saying 'Christ'mas this past season. My sister got me an odd look and shook her head and clearing said, "No" when I said 'Blessed Yule.' To me, that proves that I will be criticized for my views and beliefs all because she is bothered by the word 'blessed.' It's not what she thinks in my view. So pretty much, I have to keep it a secret.
^ Sorry, I just to rant about it. It came into topic and I just had to spill out my feelings since I can see I am not really that only one with this problem.

Oh, one more thing:
Grab a friend to go with you... I have one friend and she calls me her security blanket and I call her my thumb... because whenever we have to go talk to someone and don't want to do it alone (she's one of the main ones on the sound team, I'm the only young one in the praise band, so things are kinda awkward for us to do on our own), we grab the other and go together...
It helps with nervousness, at least I find it does.

Aerlinn wrote: But yeah. I think we're not allowed to have religious discussions here ( though this isn't really a discussion, it could easily become one since everyone has different opinions on these things.) ..so...I'll just PM you ASAP ok? It's nice to talk to someone who is in a somewhat similar situation.
Oh...I don't think you are either, but do PM me if you wish. You've got my MSN as well. I'll reply to the last thing you said to me over one of the two.
