I haven't read the books yet and since I have only watched the show, and simply adore the show, if I were to start reading then I would begin to look at TB differently.

So I think I am going to wait to read for a while and just let the awesomeness of the show take over me!

Yeah, Michelle Forbes is teh coolness and her character is intriguing. I think Dahne said something to Sam like "You have no idea what's out there" when he asked what MaryAnn was.
So a maenad (did we ever discuss exactly what that means?), telepaths, shapeshifters and of course the dear vampires. What else? What other creatures will we be introduced to? Werewolves? Elves? Fairies? Angels? Angels are supposed to be the new black so why not!

Oh Alan Ball has a very good point that the other characters do have a life even when Sookie is not around. But I've been wondering when I (yes, "I" because I'm the last person on the planet to see the show!) might see more of Sookies mom.. not that I care much for her, it just seems strange that she disappeared off the plot.

Sookie's (and Jason's) parents died in a flash flood when she was little. I can't remember her being "in the plot" more than a flashback or two.

We know what the Maenad means but if you haven't seen all of Season 2 yet, I'm not sure if it'd be spoilery or not to tell you.

In seasons yet to come we'll see werewolves, fairies, demons and witches - if they follow the books that is. A certain hunky werewolf (that Raivynn's already claimed for herself) is coming up in Season 3.

Pandy, those are minisodes (or webisodes) and are separate from both Season 2 and 3. Meaning they're neither leftovers from Season 2, nor will they be shown in Season 3. They're awesome and I cannot wait to see the others.

Haha no it's not been confirmed. But book 10 just came out (I've read the first 9 books) so I'm hoping they'll keep going until they've covered the whole series.

And book 4 and 9 were awesome in terms of Eric[s]naked[/s]ness. That's all I'll say.

HBO would be pretty foolish no to. It's a guaranteed ratings winner for them and if the cast are all happy to keep coming back [as they all keep saying] then I don't see why they can't keep going.

I missed episode 8: Timebomb. But I've just seen episode 9. Who of you kind people can fill me in?
So last thing I saw was MaryAnn having Big Black Dude killing Daphne (poor Daphne - I liked her!). And then later I gather that she hid the body in Sam's freezer?? To frame Sam I suppose.. because that got him to prison... What I missed is how did Tara and Big Black Dude get all bruised and how did the rest of Bon Temps end up in jail too? Did MaryAnn host another party and what happened there?
And how did Sookie get rescued out of the Fellowship of the Sun? And what happened to that traitor human? And why can't Jessica and Hoyt have sex?

okay that was the episode on last night... maryann causes ex and tara to go all crzy after they eat a heart pie and thet beat each other up

she does indeed throw a crazy party again..i forgot why they end up or how though only saw the second half...

sookie is saved by eric godric and a slew of vampires who breeak in and kill the members of the fellowship until godric says stop so the two main ones are saved and a few others
