^Yeah... either elephants or tigers.
That was such a crying shame. All over... stuff. Just... stuff. Did you guys hear about the one in California, where the two women were fighting and then their husbands drew guns and killed each other?

If that's the same one I've read about. The shooting had nothing to do with the Black Friday shopping and everything to do with personal grudges they had with one another.
I'd heard about the Walmart employee death from another forum I go to. It's just awful. I mean how can you NOT know a body is underneath you? Is meaningless crap worth trampling over another human being? Ugh is disgusts me. There was also a woman who was heavily pregnant but I'm not sure if she miscarried or not. There seemed to be conflicting reports on that.
One of the main reasons I tend to do gift shopping online, is to avoid the crowds.

Aye, I've heard about that one too. Why the hell did they even bring guns into the store in the first place? Leave the damn things at home.

Legsy does have a good point. What's a nice, cheerful subject we could get started on?
*Thinks* How about... our favorite holiday memories, since it's that time of year?

Heh, when I read Legsy's post I thought:
Right! Something happy! Like....like...like...
*sigh*
Sadly, all I could think of was how bruised I am... Which, of course isn't very happy at all...
Holiday memories, hmm? Like Nienna said, I've got a lot of them. Mostly just memories of being with all the relatives, catching up of recent news in their lives, eating incredible food - of course! -, laughter, getting told by about a million people just how much more mature you look...
Much more near to my heart though, are the memories that only have my mom, dad, and me in them....
....those are the best.

It may not be my favorite Holiday memory but it's definitely one of the more hilarious ones.
In Sweden, Santa always comes to your house on the 24th - not during the night when you're asleep but amidst all your family celebrations when you're awake. So you always get to see and meet him. Well, this was the Christmas when I was 3 years old (1987) and I asked Santa loud and clear (in my high squeaky kiddy voice):
"Santa, do you have a sled?".
What I meant was the Swedish kind of kiddie sled. Must have mixed up sleigh with sled, haha. Can you imagine though, Santa delivering all those gifts on a wee little sled?! Heck there wouldn't even be room for Santa himself. XD
Oh yeah, and that's me by the way. In the picture! Haha.

Awww!!!!!! You were very cute, Eru! Very very cute!
Lets see, my favorite holiday memory was actually just last year. It was me and my family's first Christmas since we moved a year and a half ago. We spent Christmas at home with just the four of us(mom, dad, me, little bro). My little brother, Cody, got to see snow for the first time in his life, and it was only my second time seeing snow.(we moved from tropical Florida to a few states further North) And there weren't many presents, but what we did get was special. Cody got a beebee gun, and I got this really soft horse blanket my mother made for me. My favorite part was the supprise on my mom's face when she opened her gift from me and my brother. She had always wanted a locket, so I got her one and we put a pic of me and my bro in it.
And a for Christmas dinner we had my great aunt and uncle over, and my uncle shared all these cool stories of when he was a tunnel rat in the vietnam war.
But everyone else's Christmases sounded like blasts!

Aww Eru... you were such a little cutie! That's a good one.
Hehe, I started this topic, and I never even put anything down for myself... Welllll, let's see here. Christmas is my very favorite time of the year, so I guess I've loved every one of them. It seems like when you're little, though, your presents are a lot bigger... I remember when I was about 2 or 3, I got this huge pillow shaped like a puppy. I also got a little tiny tent. I set the tent up in my bedroom, and I'd lay in there for a long time on my pillow, pretending it was warm outside...
