213) When they were filming the jump onto the ferry, Dom got a splinter in his foot and he kept saying that it hurt so bad and it was going to be a giant piece of wood when they pulled it out--but it was actually really, really tiny.

215) John Rhys Davies joked with Peter Jackson one day. Those that do the make up (?) put a fake finger on the finger where John had lost a fingertip. Then John went to PJ and took a knife and cut of the fingertip right before his eyes (there has been an accident...). Of course PJ didn't know it was fake... xD

Sorry for bad english... and I don't remember every second of the scene, but something like that xP

That's one of my favorite funny scenes on the EE Appendices discs! I love their antics off-camera.

Not sure if this has been said or not, but Viggo loves photography and from day one of the shoot started taking pictures and making a collage on his makeup mirror, and by the end of the shoot there was no mirror space left. XD

216. One of the hobbit stunt doubles, the Indian one, admitted to Viggo he was afraid of water, even afraid of taking a bath.

217. During filming the boat ride on the Anduin, Orlando and John's canoe tipped over, and John was blamed.

218. Most of the Riders of Rohan were females with glued on beards. Viggo admitted to having a crush on one in the Cameras in Middle Earth documentary and how Dom would just tease him.

220. During the scene in RotK when Theoden uses his sword to clatter all the spears, Bernard Hill had to use his sword in his right hand even though he was left handed and had been using his left hand for sword fighting all the time.

221. There was usually a camera rolling on set even when actual scenes weren't being filmed, because a making-of documentary was being filmed at the same time. To entertain themselves, cast members--particularly Billy and Dom--would do improv skits in front of these cameras.
