Everyone in my family loves LotR, at least a little bit.
What about yours?

In my family only me and my siblings (brother and sister, but my brother has seen only the movies) like LotR, none of my parents does. Though, my dad sometimes watches it when it's airing on TV, but he's rather not a fan When my mom sees I'm watching it and Gollum pops up on the screen she says "Oh no she's watching this bag of bones again..." Yeah, my mom loves Gollum, haha.

Haha My dad likes LotR mostly because of that hidden meaning to it. Once we had a one-week ban on everything LotR though It was because the little kids were picking up everything we said and did

^^^ we had a ban too. It was NOT fun! My family likes LOTR, mostly my brothers and my dad, but my little sisters copy us, and mom wants to watch it, but never has the time. She is missing out!

She is missing out! Easter Sunday 2013 was really a huge day of celebrating because that's when the ban was lifted We had the ban on Holy Week!!! We found away around the ban Like, we messed up the soundtracks when we were playing them on the piano.. but yeah, everyone in my family loves LotR! One of my little brothers, he's two and one day he was walking around the house just saying "Legolas. Legolas. Legolas. Legolas." It was so annoying but so cute My littlest brother doesn't seem to care about LotR though. He walked up to the TV when we were watching the Hobbit on Saturday and almost pressed the 'off' button! But then again, he's less than two years old

I have no idea, I'm an adult so it doesn't matter all that much what they think about it. I assume they like it, they've seen the movies and haven't complained openly.

My parents were the ones to get me started on reading Tolkien so it's safe to say I'm not the only one in my family who loves LotR. In fact, it's pretty much a family event when we go to see the movies in cinema for the first time, along with my cousins and aunt and uncle. It's always fun and we usually go more than once haha. And they don't fuss when I keep watching the movies over and over, so it's great.

My grandmother loves it, but the films only, she hates all the books though and thinks them boring. My mother thinks it's a good film, but nothing more than that, she barely remembers what happens in it, and doesn't take much notice. My dad hates it, but pretends to like it to try to have something in common with me, but it's obvious what he's doing.

I know how that feels! My brothers used to sing Into the west really loudly and when it came to the part where the song goes "a pale moon rises" they go "A PAIL OF WATER" really loudly. Brothers.

A lot of people dislike Arwen in the movies because they didn't approve of Liv being cast as her.

That's not what I said. The point is that it's not unique to dislike Arwen.

I think Legolin's brothers have other reasons for disliking Arwen than the reason you mentioned Which is not surprising, considering that boys usually aren't that interested in the actors and actresses behind a movie.
