Hmm.... Don't remember Lurtz actually being in the books. My favourite minor character appearing in the books, and was killed, is Halbarad.Shadowcat wrote: I have a lot of feelings about Theodred. Has anyone written a fanfic about them? Yes, quite a tight family bond among the three. I have written a brief fanfic about them but its still in draft stage and incomplete.

I voted for Denethor, 'cause he's strong, but still so deeply in Sauron's power. He's the creepiest person in Lotr, 'cause he's not evil, but mean and insane. I think he would be a horrible dad, and even more horrible ruler..

Denethor was strong-willed, but didn't have the strength to stand against Sauron when he used the Palantir and this wore him down.
