I'll try to contribute, but school is crazy right now. I'm trying to finish up three classes by January 22. :O

Alrighty! Here is my entry I will go ahead and post it. When the alarm clock went off this morning I knew another long day was ahead. Mornings are always the busiest time for me! You see, I work at a restaurant. All the old farmers come in, sit around the tables, and talk about the weather, crops, and cattle. That's where I come in. They always want a hot cup of coffee to drink while they chat. I sit there, serve coffee, and listen. I would love to join in their conversations... But you see, I can't. After all, I am nothing but a humble coffe cup.

I like that Jax!
This is my entry
I am a lonely Elvish tea cup. I was given to Thranduil by Arwen when they sat down to gossip about all that dwells in Middle Earth. They say you want to be a fly on the wall but I am telling you rather be a tea cup like me close up to hear everything; mainly that dwarves behave like orcs. The rest are Elvish secrets but I know everything about everyone. Thranduil has kept me, from the last time they meet and Arwen had not noticed so if you see Arwen, please don’t tell her that I’m in Mirkwood.

If I could make a suggestion, I would wait until Feb. 7 so that we could receive some more entries and give people more time.

Hey everyone! Yes, I'm back on here again, at least for a little while.
I have a question for everyone;
In your stories or whatever, how do you handle character death?
Do you create the character with the sole purpose of whatever task they have to do, then they die in some way? If not, and you planned for them to live; what makes you think "Perhaps this character could die." Also, if after they have died, and that part of their character set in stone, you realise there could be a possible plot twist they could be useful for, does that change anything at all?

Welcome back Erin. I love Galadriel banner, thanks again To answer your question, I usually tend to leave all my characters open (alive) until I write a villain who I just can wait to see them get it in the end. However, I can always bring the back when I want them. When writing you can do anything so if a character dies they can return IF you need them too. Usually most writers (myself included) know how a story or character will end it is just to to make it begin is what I struggle with. I also tell myself this, (it may not help you but it helps me with my stories or when they kill off my favorite characters from my fandom) Good writing can conquer bad writing. Just a thought.
