Nope. I like it just the way it is. I actually find, and have always found, the idea of Tolkien's Elves having short hair, well, very un-Elf like for some reason, hence my dislike of Jenny Dolfen's portrayals of Fëanor and Maedhros with short hair. When she paints them with long hair, I love them, and own several prints.
In the same vein: Would you ever shave Gimli's beard off?

meh, probably not. I'm not a huge fan of fish cooked so eating and serving it raw would be more than I could handle. LOL

Probably not because I would not trust myself to train them well enough.
Would you ever kidnap a LOTR character if they appeared in the "real world" so you could try and be sure to get back to middle earth with them if they found a way back?

Not an LoTR character no. However, if I ever came across Maglor wandering this Age, I would glom onto him like a burr and hope to accompany him back to the Halls where he could introduce me to his old brother. *swoons just thinking about it*
