There are a lot, I collect OST's, i love listening to soundtracks because of two reasons! Sometimes it brings you back to the most exiting moments of the film the music is from (like the best soundtrack I have ever heard, LOTR FOTR) for instance. But sometimes I buy soundtracks without seeing the movie before, then I could fly away to my own wonderland
when it's really beautiful that can happen. I expirience that when I listen to the soundtrack of Atlantis (the disney movie) I have never seen it before, but the soundtrack is just amazing. J.N. Howard is the composer, I think he is one of the best I know actually.
Here are a couple of my fave soundracks in no particular order...
LOTR-FOTR - Howard Shore
LOTR-TT - Howard Shore
LOTR-ROTK - Howard Shore
Atlantis - James Newton Howard
Edward Scissorhands - Danny Elfman
Travelling Birds - Bruno Coulais
Gladiator - Hans Zimmer
Tears of the Sun - Hans Zimmer
Treasure Planet - James Newton Howard
Little Princess - Patrick Doyle
American Beauty - Thomas Newman
The Lion King - Hans Zimmer
The Piano - Michael Nyman
The Crow - Graeme Revell
Forrest Gump - Alan Silvestri
What dreams may come - Michael Kamen
Braveheart - James Horner
Devil's Own - James Horner
Waterworld - James Newton Howard

I love soundtracks too. I think what I find attractive is the thematic quality of the music. I've got the three LotR soundtracks, of course, they're the only ones I actually own, I think. But I found the entire Goblet of Fire soundtrack online recently, and have been listening to it as much as possible, afraid they'll take it down any day. Hogwarts Hymn is my favorite track on that one- I love that sort of music.
I've been listening to the clips from the Narnia soundtrack on soundtrack.net constantly, too, and Aslan's Camp is my favorite at this point. I'm very much looking forward to that. And the King Kong soundtrack looks good, even if I don't see the movie I may buy that.

Yeah those are all excellent scores. I'm a big Thomas Newman fan!

I love Mists of Avalon, both the movie and the soundtrack. I only have one of the songs from the soundtrack (a track called Morgaine's Journey) on the computer, it came with a 25th Anniversary Edition CD with lots of scores from different movies. I always get all my soundtracks online.

How excactly do you get them? Do you buy? Or download? Or...dunno...the third option
Has anyone listened to Panic Room soundtrack? I've only seen the film and wanted to listen it but haven't managed to get it from somewhere...the reason why I want to listen it is Howard Shore. He composed it. And I want to listen it if it's similar to LotR. One part reminded me 'Lothlorien'...
Bla-bla-bla-bla...
Has anyone listened it?

Oh sorry, should have elaborated more on that. I usually buy CDs as I like to own a genuine copy of a soundtrack (or any CD for that matter). MovieMusic.com is definitely the best place to buy soundtrack CDs from, they have everything!
Sometimes I pay for downloads since it's all illegal here now in Sweden to download shared stuff.
I haven't heard the Panic Room soundtrack. The movie kicked major butt though!!

of course I do. I have several CDs of the artist in question She's awesome. Her name is Loreena McKennitt and that song is called "The Mystic's Dream".
Also check out other songs by Loreena McKennitt such as "Skellig", "The Mummers' Dance", "The Bonny Swans" and "Santiago" just to name a few. All simply gorgeous and in the same style as the song from "The Mists of Avalon".

I don't know if anyone here watches Monk (on USA), but I found out that they released a soundtrack (if anyone watched it, they might it funny especially with episode nod to their first and second theme song). ANYWAYS - today I was holiday shopping and had to serioulsy restrain myself from purchasing it. Jeff Beal is such an amazing composer...!
