I just re-read Goblet of Fire...I love that one! It's probably my favorite. The ending is on a par with most mysteries, imo, for its tricksiness and brilliance wrapping up all the events. Now I have to get my mom to read it and OotP; she's only read the first three books.

Arwen GOF is my favorite too, all my friends think PoA is the best but i felt GOF topped them all, though i particularly like OOTP but what happened makes it too hard to read.

GoF is my favourite too along with CoS. I'm not going to buy HBP I shall wait till the soft back comes out because my whole collection is softback. I'm going to reserve it from the library though :-D

I *sorta* liked OotP, but not as much as the others...mostly because it's the first HP book to not have a really brilliant and unexpected ending. I mean, except for Sirius' "death", there's no twist. I definitely expected Harry's trek to end in a trap of Death Eaters, for Voldy to come and fight, etc. etc. I'm used to the twists: #1 has Quirrell be the bad guy, #2 has Ginny open the chamber, #3 has Harry protect himself with his own Patronus and go back in time, #4 has Mad-Eye Moody turn out not to be Mad-Eye Moody, and #5....well, nothing incredibly tricksy happens. Meh :P

Yeah, I felt like that as well... nothing that happened at the end of the first four books was anything like I expected! I still like OotP quite a bit, but GoF is my favourite :)

I know this is in the wrong section... but I wonder what the film's going to be like?

I like Harry Potter, but its never as good as i expect it to be when i read it through. So i get like "wow, this is going to rock, because the story was so fantastic" and then its never as good as i remember, especially with the early ones. I think Rowling's style has evolved over the books, and the last two have been brilliant.

At our school one teacher was giving out detentions to anyone who revealed who died in the fifth book. We all walked into the class and she just said "if ANYONE says who died in the Harry Potter book thats an S1 straight away." and carried on teaching.

Can't wait til HBP...its gonna rock! I was in WHSmiths looking at the pictures of the front covers trying to work out whats going to happen-"advanced potions, eh?"

YES! I'm a HP fan! I got the first book at my 10th birthday, February 8th, 2000. I've read all the books twice apart from OoTP.
Sirius not 'quite' dead? I can gear that you are really serious.. You're giving me hope! I was so hoping that he wouldn't have died. And I really wanted a famous painter to have painted a picture of him so he'd still be - kinda alive...
I'm looking forward to the Half Blood Prince. I haven't figured who it could be. I guess I thought about Harry and Voldemort. But I don't know, and I'm so exited to find out! When we get the book (which we will get!) my mum's gonna read it first because she reads so fast. My little sister is a fast reader too but I must read it before her! I couldn't sand it if she knew everything before me! I must read fast! The problem is that the book comes out in English and I haven't read any of the books in English yet... But I can handle it, don't ya think? It can't be that hard. I'm gonna do it...

This is kind of random, but my sister suggested that perhaps Snape is the half-blood prince. I mean, Rowling never explicitly says that he was a pure blood, did she? And she has to clear up stuff about his past before the end of the series. Just a thought...

My sister(who is a HP freak!!!!) and I , when we are bored(almost all the time), we come up with theories(most of them are very stupid). She told me the other day that maybe the Half-Blood Prince is in fact Tom Riddle. She says that JK Rowling said he is NOT the HBP but she didn't said he WASN'T the HBP. My sister said that maybe Riddle was the HBP and that maybe Harry in this book has to go back in time with Dumbledore.

Wow. I almost thought for certain that it would be Harry since he's half blood and all. And is it true that Harry is going to die in the 7th book? Daniel Radcliffe said that he was to die in the last book of the series, the seventh book or something. But I'm not trusting HIM :)

I love HP, but not as much as LotR :) My favorite was The Goblet of Fire, but the movie doesn't look that great. I don't think they cast Fleur and Viktor well, but we'll see. I'm very excited about the sixth book!! I keep on forgetting how soon it's coming out!! Can't wait!!
