In a city by phantoms haunted, Where once came forth great heros vaunted, Once the home of empyreal dreams, All is not quite as it should be.
A gate is there, gilded and old, That stands on its own, tall and bold, Through this terrible portal lies Things haunting to the mortal eye.
A king is mounted on his steed, Boasting proudly of great deeds, His glittering train stretches back, Bearing treasures from fallen Akk, The walls stand tall in azure hue, Shadowing the multitude of Babilu, Who race and sing on gaping streets, Laughing and talking of Akk's defeat.
The swords clash and lions roar, In spectacles never seen before, In a magnificent, maddening sight, It all would end on that cold night.
In Babylon by phantoms haunted, Where once came forth great heros vaunted, Once the home of empyreal dreams, All is ruined as it should be.
*Babylon = Babilu
