I can tell this has a lot to do with Eomer vs. Gimli...o_O

Tolkien is miles higher than Shakespeare in my opinion. Shakespeare wrote plays for an existing world. Tolkien created an entire world, and then wrote a history for it, complete with tons of poems, and several new languages. Shakespeare can't compare.

Eomer vs. Gimli stems from when Eomer called Galadriel a Sorceress and Gimli threatened to cut off his head, but gave him a little time to reconsider.

Very, very good way of putting it. :) 100% in agreement with that.

Yeah! When I was reading it, my brother came in while I was laughing, and asked what was so funny, and I told them that A guy and a dwark were fighting over elven women, and he just kinda stared me.

I didn't laugh for a while, it was more a snort and then silence.

I read quietly, but it's all evident on my face. ^_^

It is a funny part.

I laughed at that part too. Thankfully, I was alone at the time, otherwise I would have also gotten some blank stares when I tried to explain... :)

Yep. They may think we're wierd, and hey, we probably are, but we like it that way, and nothing is gonna change that. We will laugh at books if we want to! So there!
