It was a good movie. Orlandos role was ok ..brad pitts bum...i'll never see daylight again... but as a whole the movie was good. I just didn't want to cry at the scene where hector is killed. absolutely tragic.

Troy was fantastic! I loved everything about it; all the characters (even the evil ones), the battles (especially Hector vs Achilles), and the dialogue was pretty awesome! Orlando was fantabulistic, and I got a sudden love for Eric Bana... it really just came up out of nowhere. And Sean Bean? Wow! He did a great job as well. He's so talented, I love him to death! It's just all so wonderful!!! *gasps and runs off all excited to watch Troy*

Then when we meet Odysseus I went crazy. I was screaming Sean Bean, Its Sean Bean. Love Sean Bean. He's gonna be in The Island with Ewan McGregor.
The first time I saw this movie was on HBO. I turned it on and the part where the Trojans were attacking at night was on and I saw Sean out of the corner of my eye. I didn't think that it was him fopr a moment, but I have on of those Dish DVR things so I rewound it and paused it for a second and said "Ha! I KNEW that was you Sean!" I was so happy after that. I LOVE Sean Bean.
Orlando's character was such a wimp, I was so used to seeing him kick butt in LOTR, I started to crack up as soon as he started to run away.
I loved this movie but, the thing I didn't like about it is that they changed the storyline soo much from the storyline of the Iliad. I was kind disappointed at that but, I still loved it.

Yeah, on the trailers they said that Sean Bean was in the movie, but it was like this small so I couldn't see unless I paused it and see it. And then he just likely totally rocks the screen though I wish you see him more in combat than guys like Hector (Go Eric Bana) or Achilles.

DUDE that is like the only movie that i might even consider likin Brad Pitt, and that is him with long hair, how messed up is that!! but ya, Paris was cute, not particually hot. unlike his other movies, except when it showed his arms...but compared to HECTORS!! OMG now that is the kind of man tat i might consider marrying! lol (jusst kidding, i think he needs to tone it down a little, but i would still kill ot be his wife!)

Ok so I had seen that Troy was on TV occasionally, but finally decided to watch it, but I kept catching the last bit. A few days ago I was looking for screencaps of the movie and found some on an Orlando fan site of the director's cut version of the DVD.
Can I say, yum? LOL! Orlando, Brad, and Eric all had some lovely clothes-off moments.
Ok, enough with the fangirling. I notice a lot of people don't like Paris... he was definitely naive and a bit selfish, but I still liked him. He was younger than his age, very much still a boy. But even as he was encouraging Helen to go back to Troy with him, he knew what would happen if she left Sparta. He didn't match up to Hector at all, but he was trying become better and to (begin to) make up for his mistake. As for P&H's love, I think it was true, though selfish. So much was sacrificed for their love.
I think Sean Bean's was one of the best (if not the best) perfomances in the whole movie. He was one of the strong, wise characters. Hector and Odysseus were probably the best two characters.
Good movie! A bit long, and too much fighting (for me anyway), though the story is about war and love. I didn't mind the changes all that much. A lovely, enjoyable Hollywood-ified story.
