Tindomerel juggled more. She saw that there were a few smiles, flickering on some faces. She smiled slightly, glad that she could lift at least some spirits. She suddenly slipped in a puddle of mud, falling down, hard. Tha balls landed in the puddle, at least, two of them did. The other one hit Tindomerel in the head.
((Sorry about this. I just feel a little... ))

Rhayader laughed loudly.
"I love a jester!"
Other men near him began laughing as well.

Jax looked up at the sound, seeing the current scene. He wanted to smile... he honestly did. But he couldn't, not now.

Arinae faintly smiled at the elf's most rediculous atempts, the near stupidity of it funny in and of itself. She turned her gaze forward once more, shivering against the chill wind that now picked up, adding to the hardship of the travel.

Jax faced into the quickening wind with a bitter look and mind full of pain. "I gota quit doing this." he told himself in his mind.
Hopefully after all this was over he could get back to a life that did not involve fighting and battle every day. The fear of death or loss looming at every turn.... not that he had much to loose anyway.

Tindomerel smiled, weakly, still sitting in the puddle of mud. She stood back up, whipping away some of the mud that covered her. She was glad that some of them were laughing. She continued juggling the balls, carefully making sure she didn't slip and get herself all muddy again.
"Nimloth," called Tindomerel, continuing to juggle.
The she-wolf came around Lebethron, and at seeing the balls, started wagging her tail, barking.
"Catch!" she said in elvish, throwing one of the balls at Nimloth, still juggling the other two.
The she-wolf caught the ball in her mouth, dropping it on the ground quickly, ready for the next ball. Tindomerel threw a second ball at Nimloth, the she-wolf catching it and setting it down. The last ball was thrown to Nimloth at the she-wolf caught it. "Good girl," said Tindomerel, patting the she-wolf's head, putting two of the balls away, letting Nimloth go and play with the last one.
Tindomerel started doing cartwheels next to Lebethron, ignoring the pain in her shoulder. Father would never believe that my talents could ever be useful! she thought, with a smile.
She switched to a few, off-balanced frontflips. After only four, she stopped. She then slipped in another puddle, yelping as she feel down into the puddle. She fell face first.
Tindomerel sat up in the puddle, groaning slightly, rubbing her side. "That wasn't too smart," she muttered, flicking back some of her hair, which had change from ebony black to mud brown. Nimloth trotted over to the edge of the puddle, cocking her head.
Tindomerel stood up, trying to use her sleeve to whipe off her face, which was covered in a thick layer of mud. She only put more mud on her face.
She swore slightly, and gripping her side as she walked over to Lebethron.
Tindomerel rubbed her side. It was really hurting badly. "Maybe that wasn't such a good idea," mumbled Tindomerel, in Elvish, so Rhayader wouldn't understand, "Eru, it hurts!"
She reached for Lebethron's bridle, but the stallion side-stepped her. "Lebethron!" snapped Tindomerel, making a second grab for the reins.
The stallion side-stepped her. "Fine!" snapped Tindomerel, glaring at the stallion, speaking in the common tongue, "I'll just walk."
The elf walked close to Rhayader's horse. "Stupid horse doesn't want mud all over his coat."
((Did I just post that much???????? All hail, the longest post of any posts I have ever made!!!!!!!!!!! ))

Jax looked up, this time slightly amused, but not smiling. "She is going to wear herself out before the battle." he thought to himself.

(o.o Just what I was going to say to her, Jax!)
Arinae turned her horse, unable to handle the elf's behavior, and rode back along the lines, encouraging the men with a firm smile, smiles being returned out of respect more than genuinely, though it broke the somber expressions. Arriving to ride beside Tin, she glanced her up and down. "The rain will soon wash you off well enough... and you'll regret your actions when you are in battle and cannot move your sore muscles in time to shield yourself against a blow... All that was far too stressing for your condition.... I thank you for trying to cheer the men, but if you would notice, more than most looked at you as if you had lost your head.... and encouraging word would do best, and that only takes the strength of your horse and your tongue... Besides, as you well should know, you will obviously be cold, having given your elven gift, unless your love for a mortal is not true... it would be wise of you to spare your energy and what's left of your warmth for the battle." She glanced towards Rhayader.
After finishing her scolding, Arinae gave a very brief smile to the obviously worn elf and rode to the front of the line once more, pausing ever so often to speak with a particularly downcast rider here and there.

Tindomerel glared slightly at Arinae. She was about to snap back, but stopped herself, realizing that she was started to feel cold. It was strange, she wasn't used to it. She shivered slightly, wrapping her arms around her. She hadn't noticed it before, but now it was clear, her immortal life was fading away.
Arinae was right, though. She did realize how stupid it had been.
Honestly, Tin! Don't you have an once of sense?!
The voice wasn't that of Arinae or her sister. But Wilwarin.
"Wilwarin," murmured Tindomerel, tears falling down her face.
She looked at the ground as she walked, shivering and sobbing.

Arinae turned her head, catching from the corner of her vision, Jax's momentary smile. Turning her head fully, she smiled encouragingly, as she was doing with all the downtrodden men, then returned to ride at the head of the line, sitting tall in her saddle, steadfast as she could seem to be for the sake of the men.

Jax carried on, his mind still wondering, lost in a land that didn't even egsist. One thing leading to another, never staying on one thing long enough to make it worth the thought.

Rhayader looked to Airnae with a slightly confused look. He jumped down and led his horse to Tindomerel.
"Is this true? You love me and become a mortal?"
He half-whispered to her, not wanting the attention of the other men.
"Tindomerel?"

(never mind.... just the scolding from Arinae and the little 'hint' about the immortality and all... and Tin seems a bit miserable now... )
