Yeah Beri I don't quite get how it works either, like how long 'awhile' is. And I bet after you politely wait for awhile somebody will already have taken that new family member.

It's all about having been here in the right place at the right time, pure luck. I've been in here a lot "grabbing" new family members for my own children since most of them didn't even have any, and some of them couldn't be as active in here as I could and I wanted to even my tree out. After Elanor I think I'm still the tree with the least amount of people on it.

I understand and respect that these are the rules now. But I hardly see it as being more fair at all.

I think that new rule was installed with the reason that those who don't come on here as often, miss claiming a new child.

So I think from now on, I'm just going to volunteer my family, but mention that there are others in need of a son/daughter more than I. That way they can choose, instead of being whisked off into a family that wouldn't be there first choice.
