Yes, I know that's the intention. A very good intention. But to wait awhile could just make the new member wanting a family feel like no one is interested in adopting them. And the vast majority of people aren't picky about who they're related too, they just want to join the tree. So if you offer your family, chances are they'll just go with you.

I think that anyone new who wants to join should just be directed to take a look at the family trees and decide who they'll be a child of. And we just suggest they consider joining a smaller family. So what Gwen said said she would say is great, but just tell them where they can go to see all the trees.

Beriadanwen and Erulissë, I can see we've reached a difference of opinions. I'm sorry that's happened, and I'll try to sort things out. I'm not trying to make things easier for some people and not others. I'll do what I can to explain my point of view, if you can please explain what you don't see as being fair.

Basically, if you have a lot (over three or four kids) you shouldn't try to attempt to snag every new person to the family tree. So instead of saying "join my family!", I'm asking you to say "so and so doesn't have any relatives". You can still volunteer your own family. Basically, what I had in mind was what Gwen suggested. I understand about people not being picky... I see it as so that people don't feel left out, and so I'll be able to fit people on the tree!
Not everyone can be online at the same time due to time zones, and other commitments.

The "I WANT KIDS" was partly in reference to the use of words and capitals. There's nothing wrong with saying "I would like some kids. Is anyone interested?", especially if you don't have any.
