Before she knew it, Arinae was being awoken by the hearty shake of one of the men, though when she opened her eyes, she could clearly tell something was wrong by way of the rider's expression. She immediately stood. "What is wrong?"
"The group..." he began replying, lacking breath from running, "A horde of orcs assembled, hidden beside the rocks in the shadows, and came upon them.... our men are being massacred! Several of the horses have been brought down."
"Have you assembled a group of riders to ride upon them?" Arinae asked hurriedly, her expression horrified as she strode swiftly to her horse and pulled herself into the saddle, taking up her spear in her left hand.
The rider merely nodded as he lead the way. Arinae met with a larger gathering of well rested Rohhirim but she froze at the sight below, nearer the gates of Helm's Deep. "Valar save them.... " she whispered in elvish, her expression pained emotionally.
Coming to her senses, she called the men forward and lead the charge towards the orcs and wild men who had come from behind, slipping past the outer encampments of the Rohirrim, and had already done much damage to the smaller group of Rohirrim who had nearly finished off the orcs who had come out from Helm's Deep.

"Are you sure?" asked Tindomerel, "I mean, Nimloth can watch me..."
At the sound of her name, Nimloth looked up at Tindomerel and Rhayader, blinking slightly.

Rhayader heard the charge being called. Something was happening. He looked away from the opening and turned to the ground.
"...No I won't leave you..."

Tindomerel listened to the noise outside. She longed to be out there, ready to fight, but instead, she was stuck in here, wounded. At least having Rhayader with her made it easier.
"Father always said that there could be no one in the world more stubborn than me," said the elf, "But I think I've met my match."

Rhayader smiled and nodded.
"No matter what I won't leave you. Afterall you promised to be at my side all the time."

Tindomerel swore in elvish. "You really are as stubborn as I am," she said, a small hint of a smile spreading across her face.

Jax had headed down towards the army of orcs, an extra sword in his hand, walking calmly towards them, fear and anger growing in him...but not from the army, nor fromt here actions. It was from Lady Tin's dream.... His father, and his mother had died during dreams like that, and now his mind flooded back to his memories of thre and five when it happened.
He blamed the orcs for his trouble, ouring out his feelings towards them as he reached the lines. Jax screamed in anger and plunged itnot he orcs, five falling immeditely from his spin move with the two swords.
Again another three were caught by his bnlade as he blocked two attacks, spun low and kicked another one in the head knocking it to the ground to be trompled.
A stray orc ran from the outside and Jax ran straight at it. With both swords he jumped, screaming as he came down ont he orcs shield, bending it in a half foot and throwing the orc hard to the ground. Jax reached high and slammed once more on the shield while stabbing the orc int he head with his second sword.

(o.o Violent.... )
Arinae charged through the tangle of orcs, her spear doing damage as she rode along. It was strenuous work to keep hold of the spear, but she managed to take down several of the orcs. Anger drove her when she saw many of the men that had been sent out earlier, fallen, either dead or dying. She was furious, furious at the orcs and wild men, furious at herself for neglecting to have men prepaired if this were to happen. Her spear snapped in a particularly vicious attack, and she unsheathed her sword, heedless of the off balance of the blade to her left hand. Hacking down the many orcs and wild men that stood in her path.
Suddenly Arinae froze, her eyes catching sight of the ever faithful Thren upon the ground not far from where she now was. Sliding from her saddle and coming to land on her feet, she ran over and knelt down to see if he was still alive. "I am to blame, I failed so many.... " was all she could repeat to herself. Heedless of the commotion and battle around her, she let the tears of frustration flow freely down her face, her head pounding and her senses reeling. She could no longer keep control over her senses as she stood then collapsed, unconcious amid the turmoil and fallen bodies of orc and Rohirrim.

Jax looked over to see Arinae fall and glared a path towards her, an invisible but noticable fire growing in his eyes.
Jax ran forwards, hacking orcs in his way, ducking, dodging and blocking. Sending orcs flying and hacking of heads, arms, legs and randome equipment.
Jax made his way to Arinae and started bashing and slashing the orcs around her. With a scream he launched himself into three orcs. Two were cut in half and the other thrown back, tacking three others with it to the ground.

(o.o wowy, very violent..... ^^ )
The Rohirrim saw their leader fall, but rather than scatter, or break form, they put more effort into their arms, hacking and cutting orcs and wild men without remorse. They broke out in song as they fought, the words in Rohirric, their voices strong, and their sword strokes and spears thrusts stronger, until finally only very few orcs remained, and they too were slain.
The singing quieted and the wounded were gather, while the dead where left to be gathered when they returned after carrying the wounded back towards camp.

9lol sorry... I can be that way some times... especialy when I'm hyper so yeah...)
Jax continued hacking the orcs, till at last there were only a few standing, but all a ways off.
Jax bent down beside Arinae to see what her injury was. But soon he realized that it was from her pushing herself to hard more than likely.
He picked her up and took her off the battle field and back up to her tent.

Arinae groaned at being lifted and moved from her fallen position, but that was all the stirring she did, lost in the darkness of unconciousness, her forehead burning with fever. She had stressed herself, and the sight of the massacre she came to blame herself for had finally pushed her over the edge.

Jax set Arinae down on a bed in her tent as the healers he had called to followed in behind him to take care of her. He watched as they worked, hoping that Arinae would be alright.
She had not only given him hope that he could hope once mroe she had given him a second chance to prove himself more than a mear theif and murder. And he had sworn his services to her and it was now his responsibility to help her in all needs if required.
He could barely stand to look at her, her laying body, limp, reminding him dreadfully of his mother on her death bed. Anger still boiled inside of him as he walked outside and towards a rock.
He took out the spare sword he had aquired and twirled it menasingly in his hand as he approched the rock. Then with a loud yelle he slammed the sword on the rock, breaking it to shards that went flying.
Slowly he wlaked over to one of the men. "I need to borrow another sword." he said. Reluctently the man handed it over. Jax walked back over to the stone, sword twirling and raised it up. With another yelle he smashed it into the stone, sending it's shards flying as the one before it.

(o.o wow.... anger management! ^^ So much better then the lame "punch the pillow" deal... hehe... heh, we're getting the others back for their times of leaving us behind )
The healers forced liquid of herbal remedies down Arinae's throat to bring down the fever and help hold back the threat of infection in her shoulder. They placed several blankets over her so she could fight the fever off and not be chilled afterwards.
She awoke breifly but groaned as the dim light burned her eyes, and she let herself slip into a restless sleep, turning again and again and mumbling words of regret towards what she believed to be her failure.

((Got us back, did you now? Wow, Jax. That was, like, dude! Now who's having a problem with their temper. Not Tin! I do the punch the pillow thing. It's fun! ))
Tindomerel had fallen asleep in Rhayader's arms. She had slept quite peacefully, not having her horrible nightmare.

(lol. sorry but in I just look at the background and decide...if I were in his situation, with all the things that had gone wrong in his life I would be pretty mad...or sad. But since I have designated him as fighting with his anger it is unrealistic that it does not show at other times than in battle.... Make any sense????)
Jax walked over on the oter side of the stone, kicking a small shard of the swords blade away from him as he walked. Looking down towards helms deep he slumped over against the rock, falling backwards.
Sudenly in a rush of warm air he fell over to the ground, rolling down the small hill and comming to rest in a low spot.
