Aramina sprinted through the dark alleyways. Her dark eyes swished back and forth as they scanned the lonely streets.
She shivered as the cold breeze washed over her once more.
"Where do you think your going??" shouted a tired voice.
Aramina swore. Not another guard.
She turned and jumped lightly onto a stack of crates.
"Hey... get back here!!" Cried the guard.
Aramina jumped and landed hard on the concrete cobbles.
She regained her balance and sprinted on.
A dog barked in the distance.... and another. The baying of the hounds was getting nearer.
"Oh.. no...." whispered Aramina. "Not again."
She slipped through another alleyway and dodged the carelessly bundled stacks of crates.
Aramina swore loudly as she caught sight of the hounds, dashing speedily across the streets below. She leaped skillfully into the air and her soft hands caught hold of the rooftop of an inn. She gasped in pain as her long arms strechted with presure.
"Hey you!!!!!" Cried the guard who was pursuing her. "Get down from there."
Aramina Screeched out in pain as her hand slipped loose and her other arm was wrenched hard under the pressure.
"I wont warn you again!!!" Called the guard.
Aramina decided to go for one last effort, she pulled as hard as she could and miraculously she made it onto the roof of the inn. She smiled and stared down at the guard. His face screwed up with anger and he threw his sword to the ground.
Aramina stood in the pouring rain and watched the horrison. She could see the inn where she had been an hour ago.
