Don't worry I wasn't offended, hehe. The stereotypes placed on music based only on what it sounds like can be quite funny. For example, I live next door to an elderly lady, and she is convinced that my sister is playing "acid rock" every time she starts her car... but last time I checked P.O.D. was not acid rock :P

Acid rock is an actual genre of music, but I don't think I'm really the best person to describe it, as I'm not an expert. I think what my neighbor was getting at is that my sister's music was going to eat her brain/heart/soul away, like acid. :P

Acid rock is sort of like psychedelic rock from the 60s. Think Grateful Dead or some songs by the Beatles like Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, and Strawberry Fields Forever. A lot of it is improv, 'jamming' kind of style. Kind of hard to describe, but in the 60s, it referred to music that was inspired by mind-altering drug experience.

I really like Christian music, some of my favorites are Relient K, Avalon, Switchfoot, Jaci Velasquez, Hawk Nelson, and KJ-52

Do those 2 things mix, like honestly???

Another good power metal band, Blind Guardian, have some Christian-related songs- Battlefield, Another Holy War, The Script For My Requiem, Halleluja, Precious Jerusalem, Sadly Sings Destiny, Punishment Divine. Amongst maybe some others.
