Telpeath wrote: FRODOFAN!!! I agree! I watched the 3rd movie much closer last night and his hair was clean. Excelent observation Watson. So, I guess this also has the same principal of beauty and the beast. Arwen being the beauty and....you know. In the end, the beast falls and love and in the end true love and the spell is broken. I think you can see the connection
How can you say that Aragorn is a beast, of all things!

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I say they're perfect for each other. I've always been Aragorn and Arwen pro ever since I became a fan in 2003. The books prove their love: Aragorn remained faithful to Arwen even though Eowyn wanted him and Arwen kept a good positive outlook and gave him a horse, her brooch, and her love and Aragorn gave her a happy marriage and a towerful of babies.
The movies, the romance is challenged: Aragorn was almost tempted by Eowyn and Arwen almost left, but they made it in the end1
p.s. Telpeath, one question, If you're against the marriage of Arwen and Aragorn, why do you have an avatar of them?

Good Question? I guess it is my favorite scene in the movie. Really, Lady Raine...you have a good point, he didnt leave Arwen after being seduced by Eowyn.
Back to the Avatar thing, I really dont have anything personal against Aragorn, its just that I have been blinded by love. So even if I am not fond of the marrage, I am glad that she found somebody that will care for her.
It truely is the ultimate love story, so, I chose that picture. But that is my reasoning.

I supremely agree!!! I wish I could marry her. To the thing on if running around middle earth thing...well take a look at legolas' hair. Shiny, Straight, and Perfect. And He was doing the same thing as Aragorn. Thus....I woudn't have greasy grizzily hair if I groomed, which aparently your comment suggests that aragorn didn't. (Somewhere in the distance there is a snap)

Lol, Legolas is an Elf. He's different. I dare you to try and find one elf in that movie who DOESN"T have neat hair!
And Aragorn is more an -in there- type of guy, where as legolas prefers distance, and uses his bow when he can, so he's not in with all the filthy orcses as much.

That makes sense, but who says that elves always have clean hair. Elrond in the Last Alliance had choppy, not bad, but not clear hair.

I also didn't understand why Legolas always had clean hair. But now I don't really care about it, it looks beautiful and that's all...

It was quite humorous to me to see a guy's point of view on this.
Personally, I think her marrying Aragorn was fate. You could find no better match than Arwen and Aragorn. Poor Telpeath.. *comforts* we all have our losses!

It's so true. Arwen and Aragorn are the best couple in LOTR for me.

*agrees* I also think that it was their fate to marry and through them the divided lines of the half-elves were put together again and I think that it somehow fits to the ending of LotR (can't explain...)

Easy Tigers, let's not tear poor little Telpeath into shreds yeah? lol.
But, it was fate that they got together..literally. It follows the Tale of Beren and Luthien, where An Elf pledges her life to a mortal. It just had to happen. And I'm glad it did. I love Arwen and Aragorn, such a cute couple!
