Legolas turned to Elenriel then, his expression serious. "The Guard of Mirkwood is ready. I must go now to lead them." "Then let me come with you." No, beloved. How am I to fight if I am to concerned for you and are child?" he asked placing a hand on her belly. Elenriel bit her lip and nodded, knowing that he was right. With that she wrapped her arms around his neck and embraced him. "May the grace of the Valar protect you, my love." she whispered in his ear. "I shall return." he whispered gently as he released her. With that he walked over to Corin, Leaha and the troops. "The Guard of Mirkwood is ready. What is your plan of action?"

Haldir nodded at the Galadrim and signaled for them to join her and Craig. She hitched on her weapons and went to Legolas. "As Guardian of Lórien, i shall join you and face whatever peril you may have to face."
She smiled at Elenriel. "Legolas will come back without so much as a scratch," she promised her.

Elenriel smiled at Haldir. "I thank you niece. I know he is an able fighter-the best in all of Mirkwood. Yet that does not keep me from worrying."

Haldir rode Asfaloth and stopped her in front of GreyButt, blocking their path. "You are NOT going, Leaha!!! its too dangerous for you," she said angrily.

“Move out!” Legolas commanded the Guard. With that he leapt upon Thalion. He turned to gaze at Elenriel one more time, his eyes softening for a brief moment before he turned away and led the Mirkwood Guard after Corin and the troops.

The news was that there was a huge army ;waiting for the handing of the money and the royalty, or so they thought.

Legolas looked in the distance, his eyes hard. "So they come prepared." he murmured. "What do our troops number? If we have enough to break off into two divisions, one group can lead a frontal assault while the other can circle around them-trapping them between our forces."
