I loved the movie! After seeing it I was dying to see it again! It's supposed to come out October 11th, right?

something like that. if it is, that would be perfect 'cause, that would 12 days until my b-day, an absolute guarnantee i would get for my birthday(sorry for the mispelling, i am from taiwan). i liked the way they portrayed saladin. i was sort of worried that the modern stereotypes would catch up with ridley scott, but didd't so :) :)

In my opinion Kingdom of Heaven was an excellent movie. The movie reviews here in Aus werent that kind though, saying stuff about Orlando not being the 'hero' that Russel Crowe was in Gladiator. I think it was great, i mean, i fell asleep watching Gladiator, which finished before 8:00pm, on a weekend, yet i watched all of Kingdom of Heaven which finished at midnight on a school night.

Kingdom of Heaven couldnt have been released on a better date, with May 6th being my birthday, and all... :-D

I saw Kingdom of Heaven mainly for Liam Neeson and David Thewlis and they were amazing as expected.

I was also waiting to see how Orlando Bloom would do in this role since it's a more emotionally deep role. He was not the best however, in the beginning, he seemed wooden, I think he should work on the way his eyes should shine at times. He did very good towards the ending however.

The movie was a bit TOO bloody, but I guess it's to show how fighting for religion gets you....*cringe*

^Mmm yes there was a lot of blood and gore. Mum was a little hesitant about me seeing it for that reason. It was pretty good though despite tha violence.

seems that the movie, at least has started a discussion concerning blood/death being portrayed in movies....
..I´m of the perception, that in historical films like Gladiator, KoH or in the case of a book being made into a film, like LotR...
...you do know what you´re going to see...
If you choose movies like Friday the 13th...same choice
War movies, are also in `the bloody´ category...

if you don´t like blood, sword fighting, anything to do with bodies parts meeting metal...don´t choose these types of movies!
OR
do like I do....set your mind out over the fact,
...think history & fantasy and accept that films, can be gory and a bit nasty in their violence...close your eyes at the worst parts and enjoy the good stuff!
In this case.....for me it was, Orli Bloom!

You're quite right Zandain. I personally love blood and guts >.> Those who know me should know that I worship anything with blood and guts [except idiotic horror movies which apparently always revolves around the image of blood and guts].

But then there's always the fact that anything that involves religion and fighting for it always comes out to be bloody.

Yeps...Kitoky..

exactly my point!..... :)

P.S. I like the blood & guts, too...but not `the idiotic horror movie´ kind, either! Too stupid! Must be realistic, too a point, of course!

I have to wait til I can convince my mother to rent it... Not looking good folks, but I'll keep hoping!

Blood and gore=war. I don't mind it if there is a point behind it. Pointless gore bugs me, but war does not. Besides, Dark Aged warfare was VERY gory. So that means it may be accurate. :medieval:

Religious fighting always turns ugly. It's inevitable. This applies to physical, spiritual, and verbal warfare. :stab:

Anywho... Can't WAIT to see it, y'all are giving me hope that it will be good, and in the mean time, ORLANDO RULES! :goofy:

Kingdom of Heaven is a very good music. Especially the soundtrack is great. (And Orlando is a quite good actor) I think of buying the DVD this evening... we'll see ;-)

Yeah, the Marienburg is awesome! It's completely in good repair. You could still live there...It's huge, you can get lost in it! I wanna go there again...If I find out how, I could post some pics here :)
