well, you should do RP too, but it's just that the story can't go exactly how you want it ... same goes for all of us ... you just have to improvise

Haldir surveyed the scene in the distance. "Aye, 'tis Elegost!! They are making an escape! We must aid them!"

Without furthur ado, Haldir jumped up on Asfaloth and blew their cover. Not that it mattered anyway, seeing as the Orcs had obviously long spotted Elegost. And they Orcs had no horses.

Meleth followed at a gallop. She had glimpsed Elegost as well, and her hopes rose that the others might be safe now.

"What are they doing?" exclaimed Haldir as he watched Elgost, Luthien race away from the scene, followed up a frantic Lothwen. "What on Middle-earth...?"

"We must be quick. The Orcs have seen us now" Miriel shouted. She whispered words in Felarah 's ear to make her gallop faster and wondered about how much luck they'd had for having three horses.

Meleth just nodded again and kept going, her eyes fixed on the three. She felt for her knives, and was a little dismayed to discover that only one of them was in its sheath.

Haldir stopped Asfaloth abruptly. "You lost a knife?" he asked Meleth in disbelief. He whipped out his bow and shot at the Uruk closest to the escaping trio.
