I agree that this should be moved, but until then...
MB, have you not seen the movie yet? Jack Sparrow is most certainly dead. Dead and currently taking up residence in Davy Jones' Locker. However, one must bear in mind that in the world of PotC, death is not a very permanent thing. The whole beginning plot of At World's End is them going to save Jack, so y'all quit worrying. I'm an obsessive spoiler hunter, and what I'm saying isn't just my own opinion. It's fact.

Well isn't Barbosa in the second film and he was killed in the first one soo I'm not too worried about Jack being gone permanently.

Jack did die, but there is a way to get him back.
So the crew set off with barbosa, to save jack, and thats where the third film comes in.
