Gah, you're so lucky.
But what a birthday present to have. Nice one.
Sonata Artica are cool. Wolf & Raven what a song.

Blind Guardian or Lucifer's Heritage?

Argh! I watched that Dragonforce video about 30 times now! I just can't get that song out of my head! And I also got a shock! My MOTHER said she wanted to buy "The Magic Of The Wizard's Dream" (but, hey! I'm proud of her! )

Lucifers Heritage was the original name for Blind Guardian if I'm not mistaken.

Actually yeah they began around the same time as Blind guardian was still named lucifers heritage... blind guardian has been from 1985 to the present, and Running wild began from 1984 yet had two more satanic albums or such without pirate metal then in 1987 they released under jolly roger and from there started the pirate thingy

Ah, okay... didn't Lucifer's Heritage become a band in 1984 but publish the first demo in 1985? Or am I mistaken now? (or the site where I read that *g*)
However... help me! I'm quite addicted to Dimmu Borgir at the moment.. I've listened to one of their songs for the first time yesterday and somehow ... I dunno... I can't stop listening to it!

I think you're probably right. If in doubt check the official BG website.
Dimmu Borgir are really good one of my faves in the black/death sub-genre. Even though you're hardcore black metal fan would possibly scoff at Dimmu for "selling out". But whatever, I like them and that's all that matters to me.
What song is it you got addicted to?

I'm a bit depressed though..my fave band Korpiklaani are playing the Ragnarok festival in Perth now as well, and I can't go.
