^Firstlt, don't worry about finding judges Pip! I'm sure if you just post asking for some, they'll come a runnin'.
Secondly, I can not believe you talked me into this. Rhaichon le! (Curse you!) (just kidding though ) ( well, mostly ) Here is entry number two from me.
I Know I'll Find You
Well maybe it's pure lunacy
And you and I could never be
But I have faith, and I believe
That we will meet someday
Though far away, you're calling me
It drives me to insanity
With all my soul I long for thee
A torment bittersweet
I've met you often in my dreams
Though so vivid, that real they seemed
But always i awoke and deemed
That they were nothing more
Though sundered now may be our paths
I trust that they will cross at last
Destroyed, the darkness of the past
Will be against your light
The shadows then will fade away
The dark of night will turn today
The song within my heart will play
And I'll sing it to thee
When I'm loved by you, you by me
I'll be at last in ecstacy
Within your love, I'll be complete
At last my soul made whole
I'll wait for you for all my life
I'll endure pain and fear and strife
But when, at last, you hold me tight
I'll know that I am home
Ok. There you have it.

LOL. Thanks Pip! I fixed it. It did something weird when I posted it before. And thanks for the compliment on my title. i still think you should enter some of your stuff.
And Lady Earwen, you're quite welcome.

I hope this isn't cheating, but this is like poem versin of the short story "Footprints", it inspired me so much i wanted to write a poem about it
Footprints
Dreaming the sweetest dream
Nothing is as use to seem to be
I was walking on the sandy beach
Jesus, my saviour was beside me
I saw my footprints far behind me
I looked into the bright blue sky
And this is what I did then see
My life flashed before my eyes
I saw two pair of footprints
His and mine, I followed his
I was so happy I felt so free
For the footprints were his
But on the way I found
That in a time of need
There was only two footprints
Where were my Saviours?
I looked unto my Saviours face
As i questioned him about this
Lord, why weren't you there
Why did you forsake me?
He looked at me and said
I was always there for you
My dear precious child
Why would I ever forsake you
The time you saw one pair of footprints
That was the day I carried you away
That was the day I took away your pain
All of your hurt and sadness all away

Aw, don't say that Lady E! Your poem was sweet and from the heart, I could tell. (Chronicles of Narnia is awesome, btw.)
As far as I've heard from Pip, she's still trying to figure out who's judging. But I'm sure she'll find something soon........
Hope that answers your question!

Good poems, people. Earwen, i liked your version of Footprints. I liked your other one, too. What's it about?
TT, i loved yours! (Um, same question as i asked Earwen--just because i want to know more about your poem--only i don't want to sound redundant so...oh, well, here goes...What's it about? ) It kind of made me think of how i feel about Frodo... but anyway, returning to topic...
I hope you find a judge or two, P&Lluvr. (I don't know how the whole thing works either, or i'd tell you. Maybe you could pm one of the mods. )

PMing a mod sounds like a good idea. I'm sure they wouldn't mind being bothered about this sort of thing.
Thanks Eariel! As for what it means, if it makes you think about how you feel about Frodo, then that's what it can be about. I thinki that's one of the cool things about poetry. That different people can read the same poem and take different things from it. But, let's just say that your guess wasn't far off............... .
Well done to everyone again! I hope you can get the judging up soon Pip!

I hope I'm not to late to join, since it is the 26th today. Well, here're my poems:
1.)
The tomb
Once there was an Elven lady
Bright and lovely as the dawn
She was loved and loved in turn
A king of men, a mortal one
She renounced her ancient right
She became a mortal queen
Her family left the country's shores
To journey to th' Undying Lands
She brought peace to the lands of men
Together with her loving king
But, though he lived 200 years,
He died and left her woebegone
She journeyed to the silent woods
Left in peace by Elves so fair
And there she laid alone to rest
To sleep until the dusk of life
And so she sleeps in e'ergreen woods
The leaves of brown and green surround
Her silent form so beautiful
They give her peace, they stand their guard
Around the tomb all life grows still
Her body now no longer seen
The wood prevents a spying glance
The Evenstar doth sleep in peace
She who once a mortal queen.
It's a prewrite, so don't be surprised if you've read it before.
2.)
Water
Have you ever been
In a cave behind a waterfall
Walls glistening
Full of jewels that catch the water’s light
Have you ever been
Sitting by the side of a brook
Stones glistening
With green plants surrounding your seat
Have you ever been
Sailing down a river wide
Sunlight glistening
On the blur of water rushing past
Have you ever been
Diving into the deep blue sea
Water glistening
Hordes of fish swimming through this fairy-tale world
Have you ever been
Swimming in the greatest ocean
Salt glistening
As the vastness of this ocean overwhelms
Have you ever been
Fed up like I am
Tears glistening
Sitting at the window watching the rain

^Those are nice Arawn! I feel like taking a swim now actually. I think you should be ok with joining, but you'll have to ask Pip for sure. She's too nice for her own good though, so Im sure she'll let you join. (And I meant that in a nice way Pip! )

First of all thanks for all the comments on my last poem, that was really nice of you all
Secondly, my fist poem was about a guy trying to save a girl and some ppl, then he gets thrown to the ground and stabbed in the back, the girl (who is locked behind bars) starts to encourage him and to fight this.
