I had forgotten about this thread, but I´m pleased to see that the debate of the movie was held in quiet order
..likes and dislikes..I´m happy at the result
- and on that note, I´d like to say, that despite all the time that has passed
..I still enjoy re-watching KoH, every once in a while

The Director's Cut is only available as a 4-Disc DVD box, so if you only have a 1 or 2-Disc version it is not the director's cut sadly

Me neither. Of course, I don't normally know about Director's Cuts for movies.

the debate,
on whether or not our members enjoy Orlandos interpretation of Balian, in Kingdom of Heaven..
personally, I thought it was great!
..but then again, I´m biased
I enjoy these types of historical movies, a little love, some chivalary and a pinch of evil..a bit of politics and religion mixed and re-mixed,
and all of this in one movie plus Orlando?
gives substance for some debate and good entertainment for me..

Oh, okay. I thought he did a good job as Balian....but he also did a good job as Legolas, considering the lines he was given.

I've seen all but one or two of Orlando's movies (obsessed much? ^^) and I must say, Balian is by far his best role and my favorite. The history and controversy (christian vs muslim) of the movie was amazing (not just because I'm a history major.....)! It was nice to see that all it took was one good man to show different religions can get along, and sadly one bad man to screw up the peace. It is definitely near the top of my favorite movies list.
