I absolutely agree with Lady Dwarf, that was an amazing explanation...because I totally fit into the "Feminine Girl" category...100%, that's so amazing, you described me perfectly....

Anyways, yes, I like Chivalry in guys, opening doors, protecting you, standing up for you etc....It's nice... However, I know a few girls that hate that...What about everyone else on here, do you like when guys act Chivalrous?

Hmmm... I think its sweet and thoughtful, but it depends... If its at a public thing, or just out of the blue, its fine, but if you are out playing football with them, and they act like that.... its kinda awkward.

@ Sidawethiel: Well, it depends on the situation if I like a guy acting chivalrous or not. A bit Chivalry is fine and sweet, but if it is too much, I feel a bit awkward sometimes..

Some of that applies to me, but not all of it. I am certainly NOT girly... but I am feminine at times. But I still love getting muddy, climbing trees and getting good and scraped up, sword fighting with my friends with dowel rods (and gaining a few bruises is fine with me), even fighting college guys (whom I can hold my own with).

But I very much try to act different than boys. I don't want to start pretending I am a boy, that's just strange. Who wants to be a boy anyway? In my experience, half of them are very unintelligent! So I do a lot of boy-ish things, but because I enjoy them, not because I'm trying to go out of my way to break the mold or something.

I love having really long hair, and it's never in any real style. I love long dresses and skirts, though I normally only wear them to Church or other things where you have to dress nicely.

Pretty much... I don't conform to anything. I've always been a bit of a rebel.

And as for boys being chivalrous... well, they hardly ever are, but when they are I appreiciate it. There are not enough guys out there willing to open the door for a lady or let them go first.

Yeah, I agree, I appreciate guys who appreciate me. Lots of my friends are too girly for my taste, actually...I'll happily sword-fight with a guy when some of my friends just roll their eyes. It's kind of funny, actually.

I'm kind of both, I think. A guy and a girl Nearly all my friends are guys, I love sports, fighting, being loud, wearing stuff I can peel off the floor, joking around, being immature and fighting my own corner. But I love having guys around me, watching films at sleepovers with a tub of ice cream and giggling stupidly at hot film stars and I could flirt for England, to the general dismay of my boyfriend I'm definately not feminine, I don't consider myself different to a boy in a huge amount of ways. I've been told on countless occasions by countless people, including my parents and teachers, that I'm a guy in a girl's body...

I love the whole chivalry stuff, though

I don't know the exact reason why, but I love the story of Jeanne d'Arc. I wrote a paper on her once, and there is just something that draws me to that story!

I think I do like it when a guy has some Chivalry inside I mean, it is cute when they open the door, and say: lady's first ..

And I am definitely not a very girly girl I mean, I never wear skirts, I hate make-up, and I don't like shopping at all, it is my worst nightmare
I like to be strong and brave (guy-ish) but I also love to crie at movies (girl-ish). So in fact I am a bit of both, and that makes me happy and proud

I dont cry that much during movies...only when I saw The Passion of the Christ (bawling my eyes out!!) and when I saw Narnia.

I cry at everything! Still mourning Robertt even though afterlife was last saturday, I didn't particularaly like him, and he's not even dead yet. Appart from emense empathy for characters (which is a boy thing reallym, you shouldhave seen the boys ibn my history class after mosters inc!) I'm very much the tomboy, I have 3 brothers, and a lot of my best friends are boys, so they've got a bg influence on me.
