*sniffles* So am I..
*carefully strings her long bow, running a finger over the smooth and lean wood, appreciating the well-crafted object that fits her hand perfectly*
*tests the string seeing how the wood easily curves, following the pressure of the string*
*fits a long arrow to the string, holding it lightly between her index and middle finger, as she takes in a few deep breaths, concentrating on the target*
*unconsciously steps back on her right foot to balance her weight and pulls the string back in a slow and even movement while raising the bow to horisontal level, tilts head a little to the right side, letting her gaze run along the angle of the arrow and further to focus on the target*
*relaxes as much as possible, trying to find the perfect moment of peace, before letting the arrow fly with great speed towards the target*
*closes her eyes, seeing the path of the arrow in her mind, already knowing how it hit before she opens her eyes again*

Dunno, hobo... I'd love to give it a shot too if I could qualify. I shoot an olympic bow, though... if that helps  _________________

Well, there's just a place near my house that I'd heard of where you can shoot, and when the time comes around you can tryout. You can also just practice with the team as well.  I guess the best way to try it is to just research and see if there's a place close to you that hosts a Junior Olympic team.

I'd like to join, I really love archery and the few times I've done it I've been okay - save for the last time when there was no wrist-guard and I burned all the skin off my arm (which hurt like hell).
I'd really like to learn, but I don't have anywhere I can go to learn. I can shoot (with a aif-rifle) real well and I've always wanted to get better at archery.

(lol plz don't curse.... just saving you from the mods....*peeks over shoulder*) Yeah that happened to me but i learned how to shoot without it. It almost never hits my arm. You'll get it!!

i hurt my right arm so i haven't shot a bow in weeks!!!!!!!!!!!! plus my parents said this will be one of my last days on here!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sense I'm homeschooled, my mom set up a curfew, I can be on til' 9:00 am, and then get back on after all of my school is done, my flute practiced, and chores done.
