i had a teddy bear i got when i was nine...
my parents were constantly yelling at each other i would just go to my room and cry while hugging my bear...
i got into fantasies that it was a magical prince that will sve me lol...
and my parents relations have never been good...
i don't have that close of a bon with my parents cause they went to the US when i was 3.5 years old. and didn't come back till i was 7. so... its rocky... and the only reason my parents are together is me. and they put a lot of stress on me... and my mom... the typical chinese parent...(if you know what that means) but worse cause her relation ship with my dad isnt that good... i have apoem on it in the poem (hall of fire) if you wanna read it... get a scope of my life lol
me and my mom yell at each other about 10 times on the average day...
im the crazy AU gentlewoman

I always feel so different....me and my mom never yell at each other, though sometimes I would say we don't get along terribly well, but it always works out in the end and neither of us are prone to holding grudges - five minutes after she snaps at me and gives me a whole lecture that makes me sulk and eat chocolate obsessively I'll be laughing my head off at one of her jokes. I guess that's better than some My dad, however, would probably be second on my Favourite People list....and that's only after Jesus! We get along really well.

i forget about grudged. my mom holds on to them for the next hour or day. my dad doesn't really care what i do as long its nothign wrong and my grades are still all a's, (my lowest average this half semester was a 95 and he is FINALLY happy)
but im pretty happy go lucky, so i'm not really depressed. but i really have those moments
im getting them more and more often now... because i HAVE Grown up, i KNOW what my mom's trying to do. and i DONT appreciate it but she never listens
the average chinese parent:
anything below an A equals an F.
Everything they say is right.
you HAVE to listen to them
they are short tempered
they think they can read you like a book.
they control virtually ALL aspects of your life.
They are not very empathetic.
that about summs it up... for people who have 2 chinese parents. and no, you can't be 1 third chinese.
and chinese couples who come to the US are usually stabel in marriage, so not many children have like a stepdad after they were in US...
but my parents relationship...

^ Oooh, I've never heard of a family that split the education like that. And yeah, I've got a pretty big family too, 6 brothers and 3 sisters, so ten of us kids in all, no twins. LOL.
I think I'm quite close with my parents, they pretyt much trust me with most things, but i fight with my brothers...A LOT.

Compared to you guys my family is average - five kids, I'm the oldest, and it goes girl, boy, girl, boy, girl in descending order of age. We're all homeschooled

... i HAVE been... for almost 50 posts...
im only child... its got advantages... and side effects...
but in my next to immediate family (meaning the immediate family of my parents and THEIR immediate families)
i'm the oldest of my generation of next to immediate family. i'm pretty much the pet of everybody. grandparents on both sides, like, i'm their ATTENTION. buut then again... they dont see me often nowadays...
so i've pretty much gotten all the attention i wanted...
so i've always had a lot of self confidence...
and besides... whenever i go back to china to visit i get WAY too muc hattention...
they all stare at me... i hate that... which is why, again, i hate going outside in china...

Ooh, that's neat.
I'm the third of seven kids; it goes as follows: girl, boy, me, girl, boy, girl, boy. My next younger sister and I are the only two of the same gender right in a row.
Everyone from me on down are homeschooled; my older brother and sister are both in college.
^Vengeance... to be honest, I'm rather glad I'm not an only child. Though I kind of wish I had more self confidence... if I had to rate my self confidence on a scale of 1 - 10, it would probably be a 2 at most.
