^Ah, OK.
In my case... I don't know how my parents feel about it yet. They normally have to watch everything before I do though... in this case I'm hoping they won't have to (I got to see DMC and RotK without them seeing it first).

My parents are strict, but in the areas of books and movies I don't mind it much. They're not near as strict as some of my friends' parents. I really don't have any interest in seeing the things they don't want me to see! I'm a very good child (yeah right ).
In other areas they are, IMHO, far too strict... but in the areas of books, movies, etc. I don't mind it at all.

I was 12 when I first saw an 18+ movie... or was it 15+? Anway, it was 'Kill Bill Vol II' and now I'm obsessed with it.
My parents are anything but strict when it comes to movies... as long as I don't get hurt, everything is okay haha

My parents don't care much either. Me and mum are crime fanatics, so we're not the least bit put of by sex or gore on TV. Apparently theres a lot less gore in american TV, is this true?

I'm not allowed to watch PG13 (I believe the American rating is 14A?)movies, besides LotR and PotC, and to be completely honest I'm super picky about my movies so I don't want to anyway. I don't watch hardly any TV, so there aren't many restrictions there. I'm allowed to read what I want but I have to use good judgement. And my mom knows I would die without fantasy, it's all I read, so she's never had a problem with Eragon.

The only reason why I couldnt really see Eragon..maybe..is because of all the magic. There is this part in the book..kinda bad and really goes against my religion. A fortune telling part...
If only my bro. still like Eragon! I could have a chance seeing the movie...I just saw 2 trailers. Every second I wanna see it more.

I believe American TV and movies are, as a general rule, a little more G rated.
Anyways... I really try to be careful what I watch. Though if you're not a Christian, you would really have no reason to be careful... *sighs*
I don't like the fortune telling part at all. I wish it was cut out of Eragon. I just read that today. I think next time I read it, I'll skip that part.

The thing, it's just a story. Unless you're a really weird person, you're not going to actually believe that someone can accurately fortune-tell or use magic, so you can just enjoy the story. That's why I'm allowed to read Harry Potter - yes, it's not Christianity-oriented, but am I going to believe it exists? Of course not. I'm going to treat it like what it is - entertainment.

^Yeah, that's why I'm allowed to read Eragon. But I still don't like it much. Understand, I'm... I don't know, protected? Though that doesn't seem like the right word at all... I don't know, I tend to be bothered by things more often than other people, including other Christians, that I know.

*chants*
Durza and Murtagh! Durza and Murtagh!
Two very major reasons I will be going to see Eragon I loved the book though. My parents don't care what I do in general...I watched all the Alien movies when I was 7 I think if I went to live on the streets for a few days, they'd barely notice.

I just found out today who was Durza was. I didnt know that Shade was actually a real charatcer with a real name. I thought he was just some ordinary Shade, with no name at all, until Ajihad (sp?) told Eragon his name was Durza.

Heh...totally agree about Murtagh Who needs a plot? I'd pay money just to see him prance around the screen for a few hours. I do love Durza though...I always love the bad guys, they are so much more appealing than the stereotypical boring hero
