Has anyone ever heard of Nickel Creek and/or Chris Thile? They're a bluegrass (or "newgrass," if you prefer it) band, and Chris Thile is the mandolinist who's done several solo projects. If you want to hear a lot of talent, listen to them. Chris rechorded his first album when he was only 12 years old, and let me tell you, he is a great mandolinist.
My favorite cd of theirs is the self-titled one ("Reasons Why" is one of the best songs ever!!) and I like "This Side" as well. Has anyone heard their newest cd? is it any good? I heard "When In Rome" and thought it was okay.

I love the Hand Song! its so good. Reasons Why is still my favorite though  from their cd This Side I love Sabra Girl, its such a pretty song. I think Sara and Chris' voices blend so well together.

i love nickel creek! my friend (who's into tolkien as much as me) said they have a song called Tom Bombadil. she said it's an instrumental. i haven't heard it, have any of you?

*nods* on their self-titled album, there's a song called "House of Tom Bombadil" and on Chris Thile's cd, Not All Who Wander Are Lost There's a song called "Riddles in the Dark." Those are the only two cds I have, but I'm pretty sure that there's other references on other cds, especially on Chris'.
Last night I was putt putt golfing, and "Ode To a Butterfly" was playing! :B
