Anyone else a fan of this New Age/Ethnic World Music "group" (by Karl Jenkins)? I first heard their music back in 1998 and have been hooked ever since.
Favorite songs of theirs are;
Adiemus, Kayama, In Caelum Fero and Tintinnabulum!
For those of you who haven't heard them yet, check this out:

Listen to "Kayama" below: "Kayama" - Adiemus

Adiemus is one of my very favorite songs. I thought it was Enya for a long time- apparently that's a common mistake- and then discovered that it was actually done by the creater of Adiemus.
I took out one of their CDs once from the library- I can't recall what it was called, something to do with time and dancing. I didn't like it as much as I'd hoped, for some reason. I think Adiemus (the song) is simply above and beyond all the rest!
It was fun watching the video, I'd only heard the song.

Yeah not all songs are to my taste either!
Their best album in my opinion is "Songs of Sanctuary"! You should really listen to Kayama, it's such an amazing song. If you can't find it I'll see if I can upload it for you!

I'm 100% I've heard them before, especially after listening to the youtube clip. Now if I could make my memory work ...

I've only heard their song "Adiemus" because, like Nie, I originally thought it was an Enya song, and only discovered it wasn't when I couldn't find it on any Enya discographies. I'll check out their other work sometime, though, since I really like that one song

Adiemus is a really nice song... but I can't stop thinking of the Qantas airlines ad! Ah, most people wouldn't know the ad anyway. But yeah. Love the song. Does anyone know what language it is?

It's just made up words that sound good. (Or at least that's what I read.) They do, too- there was something about how they mostly end in vowels, and that's generally more pleasing to the ears...
Eru, for some reason, I couldn't listen to Kayama. I really want to hear it!

Nienor, hopefully I've fixed the problem! Let me know whether it works or not:
"Kayama" - Adiemus

Thanks, and it works!
I really, really like it. Almost as good as Adiemus.

Yayyy
It's a song that grows on you. The first time I heard it I thought it was a really good song but not as good as Adiemus, but the more I listened to it the more I fell in love with it and now it's one of my favorite songs of all time The best part is when the flute kicks in on the 2nd or 3rd chorus!

*is listening to Kayama* very pretty so far! Definitely sounds a lot like Adiemus, and of course a bit Enya-ish...more tribal-ish, though, I think...nice!

I'm listening to Kayama now for the first time. African inspired? I knew Adiemus (the song) - and I actually think I heard it in an add as well, though not for Quantas.
I've got this feeling they had another famous single at the time they had Adiemus... or am I confusing them with somebody else... I remember there was this wave of new age-y music with Enigma and Enya and Era etc...
Are all the words of their lyrics really made-up as one of you said?

I'm not overly fond of all of the music that Karl Jenkins has composed under the Adiemus banner although I do like Songs of Sanctuary. I really like Cantus Inaequalis, and Kayama. Actually, my favourite piece of all is not even on Songs of Sanctuary and that is Cantus -Song of Tears which was on a chillout CD that I bought - that was fabulous.
Like Eowyn of Ithilien, though, I must recommend The Armed Man - A Mass for Peace. I know it sounds daunting compared to the ethnically inspired music of Adiemus, but it is a fabulous piece of music. I was fortunate enough to watch a performance conducted by Karl Jenkins himself and, having never heard it before, was completely hooked by it.
Try his Requiem as well - the Dies Irae is a blast!

I really like Adiemus - I think I found that piece somewhere online while looking for something about Enya, and I looked it up and realised it wasn't Enya as the file claimed...
I haven't heard any other music before... but I like the idea of made-up sounds. I like music that doesn't have lyrics I can't understand sometimes...
*listens to Kayama*
