I like the Rohirrim's bravery, the soldiers (Éomer...enough said ), the dresses Éowyn has and her courage, their wardrobe, architechture, and weapon design is very beautiful (I LOVE Théoden's sword!)
and I also love horses..my mom is OBSESSED with them and now I'm liking them even more..I've ridden horses before and I enjoy it

just like to point out - the rohirrim are based on the anglo-saxons, not the vikings (eomer is an anglo-saxon name recorded in the anglo-saxon chronicle before the arrival of the vikings, rohirric is based on anglo-saxon, and the anglo-saxon poem the battle of maldon provided a basic template for tolkien's descriptions of battles).
in any case, describing the rohirrim as "vikings on horses" (which someone did earlier) is slightly misleading anyway because it suggests that the vikings didn't ride horses, but the anglo-saxon chronicle entry for 994 says that they did.
anyway, rant over. i like the rohirrim precisely because they're like the anglo-saxons, and i love anglo-saxon culture. the scenes of feasting in meduseld remind me of heorot (the great hall in beowulf), and as i absolutely love beowulf, that can only be a good thing. i also like the greater sense of comradery and equality in rohan compared with gondor - theoden feasts with his men in his hall, but i can't see denethor partying with the gondorian soldiers, can you?

They ride horses and their land is SO awesome. Plus Eowyn lives (or used to live) there and she's cool.

I love the horses (mainly because I ride them myself) and the great land scape.
BUT the winning factor has to be EOMER!! *drools* Go horse lord.

I love Rohan full stop. The whole atmosphere, the open-ness and the celtic feel, I love it!

Rohan is pretty cool. I think my most favorite item from Rohan is Éomer's helmet. With the horse leading to his nose and hair from a horse's tail coming out from the top. Incredible.

yeah, it is amazing. i'm surprised that the rohirric helmets weren't more closely modelled on the sutton hoo helmet though - the rohirrim are meant to be like the anglo-saxons, and the sutton hoo helmet is the best example of an anglo-saxon helmet. they're really not as similar as i'd expect.
and kitoky - i love the rohan music too. that was the beginning of my conversion to the violin.

True, they do look pretty diffrent. If you imagine Éomer's face is the metal face plate in the sutton hoo helmet they sort of look alike, they just jiffed up the Rohirrim's helmet probly so they don't look so dull in the movie.

I love the culture and architecture, it is incredibly detailed and beautiful. WETA workshop really made Rohan and the Rohirrim come to life. The names are also cool.

The horses, the architecture and the music for me. And just the general look and sound of it all, really. I love Rohan!
