Bah---you people have to write like a tutorial or step-by-step manual on how to use the average iron.

Well I didn't really do it for long, only while my mum was recovering from her h/attack. My advice - get it really hot and press down like mad! And if it is still crinkled.......hope that people don't notice.....

I have to Iron all the time. Mostly because I usually only wear suit and tie. or my work uniform. I am a firefighter so if my blue uniform pants a shirt are not clean... its like watch out! I ironed my shirt once at the station and The guys teased me for being to girly *haha* it was fun though.. once they saw how good I was at it then they stopped complaining...
we were also talking about cooking.. speaking of a "womans" job. I dont mind it actually. at the Department I am the only female Fire Firghter and there are 30 guys. My shift has 5 guys on it. We take turns cooking - I must point out that there are so many good guys out there who can cook - but sometimes they like to have a dinner with a "womans touch". I must say I am not the best of cooker .. average really but the guys love it when I cook or iron or sing. they always remind me " its ok to be gurly" (I love being a firefighter. They respect woman so much and we can still have fun)
That.. was a tangent..

So you have to press down for a little while? Won't that burn?

No, as long as you don't leave it one place for ages. Iron firmly over a certain area, going backwards and forwards applying heat and pressure until it's free of wrinkled.
Lol, look at me, Miss I-Can't-Iron-To-Save-My-Life-Without-Directions.
WOW Lonannuniel! You're a fire fighter?

^ Is she just busy or are there other reasons? It's been weird not seeing her around.

No, she doesn't. I know why. But if you want, I can ask her in person for you...
What are we talking about here? Ironing hair or clothes?

I am so dumb sometimes...I was picturing people with their heads on ironing boards rolling an iron over their hair!
*crys with laughter*
*or with emabarrasment*
[take your pick]

And oh yes, inanimate objects can decide to be rude sometimes. Haha.
Just kidding you guys. I can't use a potato peeler with a safety... so hey, to each her own.

I have natural curls that I iron to make straight.
And If you can't iron clothes, just run to the dryer right when it's done and pull the clothes out and flatten them with your hands. That works too.

I never use a iron...
Actually, I just lied. I use it on one blazer jacket I own. But that is only about once a month. The rest of my clothes don't need ironing, or they just stayed wrinkled
As for hair straighting irons, I use one on my hair almost every day. Of course, it totally frys my hair (it is an iron, after all ) and I have a ton of split ends from it. But I still love it... sort of a love-hate relationship ^_^
Wow, I feel very sarcastic today... and I feel like using a ton of smilies
