Does this remind anyone else of the person running with the Olympic Torch? I thought this like the second time I watch The Two Towers...

I didn't think that until I saw this thread. I now think,"Do only evil people do that?"

Yeah I noticed the similarity and it looks so comic although I'm sure it wasn't the intention! Also I noticed how the orc doesn't seem to be wearing any kind of armour or protection, which is strange since he has a quite important mission. I know armour is heavy, but still.. if Legolas had hit him in the throat or pierced his heart he would have died on the spot (why did the flawless Legolas fail in that crucial moment, by the way? ).

No, but the arrow stayed in him. If he was wearing armour it would have ricocheted off of it... but it didn't. So the arrows did pierce him and it stayed there, but yeah... he should have been killed instantly.

Another thing I really don't understand.. why Legolas, the perfect archer, missed.

^Because if he didn't, PJ wouldn't have gotten to blow something up. No, that's a lousy excuse...
They probably didn't want to waste armor on a guy who was basically on a suicide mission.

Yeah. I think people have spoofed it before.
As for Leggie missing... they had to breach the wall somehow. It happens in the book... doesn't it?

Erm...I don't think that's what happens in the book at all. But I haven't read it for a few weeks, so I can't remember too well.

Well, in the book, there's just an explosion and someone (Gamling?) shouts something along the lines of 'they have brought blasting powder from Orthanc!' or some such thing. It's not that big of a deal, in the book.
