I love watching people doing folk dancing... I can hardly do anything myself, but I like watching it :) I've never done horseback riding before, so I wouldna know how it is :P Looks like plenty of fun though!

Well I think to say all dancing is boring is a little harsh. There are so many forms of dancing around the world how could you possibly tell? Some people enjoy the graceful movements of ballroom dancing whereas other prefer the faster dances such as swing.

And dancing does have a point. It was orignally a way of socializing with other people and also played a major part in coutships, as it was really the only time unmarried ladies and gentlemen could actually be together. And it's always been a source of pleasure and entertainment.

Yes.

And no. I agree with JF, how can you possibly say that dance as a whole is boring when there' no way you've seen or done every style of dance by every performer.

10 years. I've been blessed enough to be tutored by a tap master, and I really hope to make something of it.

Who mentioned Capoeira? I do Capoeira (there's an old thread in Your Life) and I love it!
I believe most consider it a martial art because of its history, but I am definately attracted to the dance in it. It's a game you play with another person, not a fight. The beauty of capoeira is when it flows like a dance and no one gets hurt when playing it.

Hey, hey, Carlton happens to pretty much be my hero. I can do his dance to a tee, actually.

And Amoniel, I was going to do the same thing, a friend of mine was going to play the piano and I was going to choreograph a tap dance, but I was just asked to host the showcase, which is even better, I think.
