Eldarion thinned his lips and closed his eyes, trying not to lose his temper.

"Eonera, I'm sorry, but it's all I can do at the moment. Now is your last chance. Sleeping draught or no?"

"If we have to split, I will take full blame from the King...and give up my post and home as payment, just to stay here one night with the lady to help her heal." Handion said. He was offering his entire life on this one moment...if Eldarion didn't take him up on this offer, then he had nothing else to offer.

Handion bowed and then went to get the sleep drought and a horse from one of the Elves. Alythrya walked over to Eldarion, giving him a look that they would talk later.

Eonera was glad to get her own horse. The elven horses were so strong, she saw. With Handion's help, she found the horse she could use. It was a dapple grey mare named Hithwen.
"What do you think, Handion? A good choice?"

Handion stroked the horse's mane. "Aye..." He said, looking into Eonera's eyes. "A beautiful creature..." He looked into her eyes one moment longer than he should have, and he turned quickly, saying, "Um...well, then, we must be off." And then he went to find his own horse.
