oh, but swimming in the ocean's fun! You float a lot easier than in a pool, and its so pretty, sure it might smell a little fishy(no pun intended) but its great.
When i was in Lunenberg, Nova Scotia(thats where the replica of the Bluenose is kept), i was running on the boardwalk, not watching where i was going and i ran into some bleachers... and i got a free pin.

Could we get some general... relation as to why cutting up a jellyfish is deem specific to being a woman.... or if women generally hate cutting animals up more?
Something.

I'm a female....yeah...big shock I know....and I would hate to cut anything up....not because the sterotypical female would run and shriek at something so disgusting, but because I don't think it's right.

I don't mind cutting anything up, as long as it's not ME being stripped of my skin or something o.O;

Oh, i agree with that
Like, i think usually girls are more squeamish, if guys are scared of something, they usually dont show it, i know i dont mind blood and guts, i've been unaffected since i was little.

I'm totally squeamish. I don't know how i am going to handle dissecting a pig tomorrow. Yuck.

^ Ew >_< I had to dissect a few things when I was in Middle School and I didn't like it. Thank god they were just small little critters and nothing really gross but I still don't like the fact of dissecting things just to study them. I think it's just cruel.

I used to be all "dont dissect its cruel" but since i've been assured that they don't just go out and kill animals for disecting, i've gotten better.

Cutting things up you say? I'm a bit squeamish myself, but I don't tend to let people say.. at school know that, just because it feeds the idea that women are wimps. It's not like every girl stands on a chair and screams when a rat runs by.. sadly though, that's how a lot of [egotistical] guys think.
Ahah! That made me think of a short story I read a long while ago in English class. 'Twas called "The Dinner Party".
Check it out here --> http://my.hrw.com/support/hos/hostpdf/host_text_103.pdf
It gave me a good laugh. Girls rock. Yeah.

I have to agree. Back in junior high, we dissected a cat, and that's when I finally learned they don't kill a random house cat. It made me a lot happier.. except I still have some trouble with it.
^^Hahha that's a cool little story. It gave me a bit of a laugh too. Especially the last line.

Here's a funny tale. Me and my mum were flicking through TV channels a couple of nights ago and there was this weird advert with lots of people doing different things. So we waited until the end so we could find out what it was about. The tagline was something like
"Whatever you're into make sure you use a condom"
.....
And there was like this big awkward, embarassed silence and my mum said "well I have no idea what that was about"
And that cracked me up, because she obviously thinks I know nothing at all.
I'm sorry but i find that absolutely...hilarious.
Your mom sounds like my dad. He thinks i don't know anything. I laugh at him lol.

I am totally scarred for life. My friends taught me every cuss/bad word in the book in sign language. (well i happened to be sitting there) it was pretty awkwar.

^ Haha, we're the same.
"Mom, isn't he hot?"
"Yeah..." -goes back to work-
She's used to my phangirling Totally
I've known stuff about sex since I was a kiddie. And when I was five mom told me I would get periods one day and I way excited about that And that one day I would be able to have kids -- this isn't so exciting now that I have a younger brother, though xD
