I love The Kooks! My favorite song by them right now is Always Where I Need To Be (I'm learning it on guitar right now too... its easy!). I only have a few of their songs, but I still really like them. I first heard them on the radio, and I really liked the way they sounded so I kept listening to them. You're the only other person I know about that likes them! everyone I know has never heard of them.

I really want to see them in concert, but sadly they aren't playing where I live any time soon...

I stumbled upon a leak of the new album a few days ago and I'm actually just playing it for the first time now. While I've admittedly moved away from the British pop scene, this should be on pretty heavy rotation for a good while. So far the definite highlights are "Always Where I Need to Be", "See the Sun" and "Shine On".

i love the kooks' first album. i bought it on my 18th birthday and listened to it loads all that summer, so it reminds me of summer holidays and of being 18 and finally free from school. i haven't listened to it in a while actually. i might have to go and put it on now...
