This is such an interesting topic, I think I'll bump it up.
I've been wondering in addition: WHY would you like to live the place you chose?

the shire!!! i'd want to be a hobbit... i'd love to live a hobbit life with as much food as i want, and lots of peace within my home... but i'd be like bilbo, exploring other places in Middle-earth because of all the mountains!!!

I think I'd live in either Rohan or Gondor, just as a generic citizen. I can't decide which!
Gondor has a wealth of information in the archives. I don't know whether or not citizens can see it, but I'm sure there're those who can teach it. It's also large enough to keep one interested.

Rohan is less fortified, but the surrounding mountains are beautiful...and the culture there is in some ways richer. Not to mention there's horses!

I can't decide which I look more like...probably Rohan, going by hair color. But I certainly don't look like an Elf, and thankfully I've outgrown looking like a Hobbit.

I like Gondor for it's history and culture...but I'd like to live in Rohan for it's ruggedness. You can be wild and free in Rohan. Plus the horses are great.

I'd probably be an elf and live in Rivendell. ^^

I would live in Ithilian and I would be a lady of Gondor

An Elf in Lórien or Rivendell.... not entirely picky about my Elven locations, so long as they are pretty

I'd love to be a lady of the Dunedain, female ranger (although is that contradictory? Lady of the Dunedain, Dunedain=Men-of-the-West....?) But living in either Rivendell or Lorien mostly, wandering here and there too similar to Aragorn.

I would be a Roherrim.
No contest.

I wouldn't want to live forever like an elf (though I envy the wisdom of the Elves)
I wouldn't want a life without any adventure like the hobbits (though sometimes it would be nice to sit back and relax and not worry about anything),
and I like Rohan's culture better than Gondor's.

I'd want to be an Elf (cuz elves are cool, and beautiful, and wise, and all kinds of fun stuff) and live in Caras Galadhon, because it's a beautiful city, with lots of trees.
