could I join please? I love books but I never really get a chance to discuss them.

And I've already read to kill a mockingbird, it was my GCSE book last year!

I don't think reading the books in other languages matters, because if you know what it is about, there should be no problem, right?

Ohhhh, don't I know that feeling! It was my GCSE book this year!

Ok, I have a suggestion.

Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach.

It's quite short, so you'll all have no trouble with it, and it's quite a special little book in my case. In Manchester, a company left about 10,000 books lying about central Manchester, for anyone to come and pick up and read, and then bring back to the city to leave it for some-one else to read. I picked up this tiny little book, with a bright purple cover, and it was fantastic!

I recommend this book :)

EDIT: I just found an internet version of the book, an e-book, so if this is the book we read for the book club, and sopme of you cannot find the book, I'll post it...

I'd like to join this reading club very much. I love books and as luck would have it I just got To Kill A Mockingbird out from the school library. I'll get on it right away... :)

OK we really need to get the next book going, sorry about the delay.

My suggestions are The Curious Incident of the Dog at Nighttime and the first book in the Dark Tower series by Stephen King.

Does anyone have any others?

^ Oh, I've read The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time. It's excellent and I'd strongly recommend it.

I don't have any suggestions myself; I'm happy to read whatever other people are reading but I do like the look of Across the Nightingale Floor personally. :)

Hello! Erm - I'd like to join in this group; however, I doubt I'll be able to stick with it for a long time since once school starts again, I don't think I'll have much time on the computer, let alone to read the books. May I still join, perhaps for at least one month? I hope it's not too late.

Thank you very much!

As for any book suggestions of mine . . . probably something easy to obtain, so that everyone can get their hands on it and participate in the discussion.

~Elberethsq. :bye2: (By the way, I wasn't part of the other forum's book club, because I was new then).

I don't know . . . Elanor hasn't posted here for almost a month, so I don't know if this Book Club is still running. :( Ah well. :bye2:

Yeah I'm sorry for not doing anything about it. It's cause I'm working this summer and don't have much time to spend here.

If someone would like to take over organising the Book Group till at least the middle of September please PM me

Well - I see. I would be willing to organize the Book Group - however, only until the end of August perhaps, not the middle of September, so I guess I can't do that. Sorry! :bye2:
