Well, I didn't find another thrad for the LOTR online game so i decided to start one and see if anyone else was playing the game.

It's a pretty nicely done game in my opinion and i was interested to find out if anyone else on the forum was playing it.

lol. Yeah I have to agree with you there it IS very expensive. But I did the life time set up thing which is a one time payment. It's still expensive but since that is probably the only game I will be buying... and since I am not going to pay a monthly fee for tv or anything... i figured that could be my form of intertainment. *shrugs*

Thats because in development it was called Middle Earth Online.
Its kind of a World of Warcraft based in Middle Earth. I had planned on getting and playing it, but lost interest before it was released.

ah I see. Makes sense.

I actually thought it was a pretty well dne game myself, comming from StarWars Galaxies and being an avid starwars fan I still wish I had something starwars based to play but it really is a pretty nice game.

I figure instead of paying monthly bills for TV as entertainment I can just get a lifetime subscription to LOTR online and have that as my form of intertainment. :)

Wow... haven't checked this thread in forever!!! I thought no body else played so I kind of abandone it.

It is a pretty fun game, but can get expensive unless your willing to go for the high dollar life time subscription.

I get lost sometimes too Maironiel. I guess you just have to play enough that you start to know your way around the maps.

I played a trial of it about half a year ago, and I have to say... WoW is way better.

There's nothing unfriendly in WoW  But then again how can you say, since you've never played it before lol.

lol Well, I've talked to people who have played it and they always describe it basically as a "Game for guys"

Several people on LOTR online said that LOTR had a much friendlier group of people... *shrugs*

But no I have never played it soI am just going by what I have heard, true true.

Trust me, it's not a "game for guys". I've been rocking it and I'm just a lowly girl ;)

My regulars on WoW are extremely friendly so... probably just biased for LOTRO players, the environment can't be much different.

I'll take your word for it, since I've never played.

I really wish they had a free Starwars MMORPG that was that large though.... lol haha. (yeah wishful thinking I know... George Lucas likes his money)
