Scott raised an eyebrow at Cora's nickname and watched her closely. "Phoenix?" He asked and then closed his eyes for a few moments. He swallowed hard and then looked back up to Cora. "Sorry... it's just that... you remind me so much of my fiancee."

"Im sorry." Cora said. "The nickname comes mostly from the fact that I can fly and make fire. Although I have telekentic powers as well."

Logan looked at her with a wry smile
"You gotta get a little fun now and then kid, or you'll go stir crazy" he took another drag from his cigar and looked at her "I'll try and make it down to join ya"

He turned on his heels and made his way towards his room "Gotta hit the shower first"
Without another word, Logan walked down the hall and into his room.

Marie smiled and watched Logan head for his bedroom. "Yeah, thanks for taking a shower. You're saving all of our noses." She told him playfully and grinned a bit to him. She then started walking down the hall and heading for the kitchen. She was starving.

Scott slowly nodded to Cora and then looked ahead of him, to where the gate entrance of the mansion was. "Did you just get here?" He asked her softly and then looked back to her, so he could look at her when she answered back to him.

Cora smiled. "Yeah, I flew over the gate, didn't want to use the com." She leaned back and looked at the sky. "This is the first place I have been accepted. People have been fearful of me when ever they find out about my fire. It doesn't help that I accidently burned things when I first got my power." She looked at Scott. "Thats why I love that I can fly, it makes me feel free, like I have no worries or cares." She sat up. "I usally do it the most when I have been upset or depressed."

Bobby grinned, "Sure, why not?!! Come on Pete - you too."

Peter looked over at his math book, and then back at the others. "Well... I don't know....."

"Come on Pete. You know you want to - and this way I can prove that the new girl really does look like Jean."

"..." Peter had no choice, since Bobby was going probably going to tear his arms off from pulling if he didn't. "Fine."

Bobby cheered.

Peter rubbed his eyes, as if he didn't believe what he was seeing. Shaking his head, he muttered, "But it can't be..."

He had good reason to believe his eyes were playing tricks on him. Hey, when you're a mutant, stranger things have happened.

Jean was dead. For good, this time, unfortunately. Her powers had been too much to handle, even for herself.

When Logan had ended her life at her own request, it had seemed to be finished. Jean was buried, on the grounds of the Xavier School.

But now, here! Standing in front of the trio was a girl, seemingly Jean's double! Worse yet, she was speaking with Scott Summers, Jean's lover!

It was the first time Bobby had been struck speechless in a long time, and Peter too, had no words to say. They merely stood there, hidden behind the wall, watching the conversation ensue.

Scott nodded to Cora and ran his fingers through his hair, slowly. "Yeah, I'm sure that flying makes you feel really free. I wouldn't know... I only have the ability to use my laser eyes." He said and laughed a little, realizing how stupid his power sounded.

Cora laughed too. "Hey i think thats cool in away." She bit her lip in thought for a moment then leaned towards Scott. "If you want I can make you fly, you know, Use my telekenetic powers, and holding your hand as I fly."

Logan made his way out of his room and headed towards the kitchen. He noticed Rogue sitting at the large wooden dining table.
"Hey kid" he smiled and made his way over to the massive silver refridgerator. Putting his head inside he looked over the contents, sniffing at the various meats and cheeses and other assorted food and drink.
"This'll do" he muttered under his breath and pulled out some salami. He leaned over and picked up a freshly baked loaf of bread and took it over to the table.

SNIKT!

Logan popped out the claws of his left hand and as easily as a hot knife through butter, sliced the bread and then the salami. He sat down at the table, facing Rogue and put his sandwich together.

"So" he said softly "How you doin' kid. I mean really. Since you're powers returned, you've not spoken to me about it at all. Now's yer chance" he finished before taking a large mouthful of his salami sandwich.

Rogue sighed a bit to Logan and shrugged a bit to him. "I wish it never came back..." She told him softly and then nibbled on her lower lip, while looking down to her lap. She had never liked her powers, because it only meant that she couldn't be close to the one that she cared for or even loved.

Scott shook his head a little to Cora and smiled to her. "Nah, it's okay. I'm fine. I fly enough in the X-Jet." He said to her softly and stretched his arms a bit, feeling somewhat happier than before. He didn't notice that him and Cora were being watched by the teenagers.
