Larain was intent on what she was going to do from there, then stopped. Had that wall panel just moved? It had, and in it's way stood... Kira? And another girl and a guy. She glanced at Matt, then back at them.
"Um..." she trailed off, not sure what to say. "a secret passageway?"

"Yes m'dear. You guessed correctly; a secret passageway. Though now not so secret." Mary dusted the grey mould off her navy jumper and took a few cobwebs from her hair. "Can i ask why he's here?" She adressed the question to Larian; though she still looked at Matt.

"He's leaving, and I was also leaving. We were going to, um, meet up with Jared and that other girl," Larain said, and mumbled under her breath that she forgot the girl's name. That was until she spotted Kira behind Mary, and also spotted John.

"Oh... and whats he doing here?" she said, running a hand through still wet hair...

John slowly stepped into the room, looking around. Mary was right; he had been here several times and was clever enough to run off before dawn broke. When he was asked what he was doing, in truth, he had absolutely no idea. He simply said, "No idea. Just joining them to look for a book." He paused for a second and asked, "Listen, have any of you tried the professors' lounge? They have a small bookshelf there. It's probably filled with clever little ways to make us miserable, but it's worth a try."

Larain thought for a moment.
"So, you two were pulled into this two? Hm, my brother was looking for the book in the library. I mean, we hadn't checked the third floor, but if my brother found it, I'm sure he'd call me," she said, putting a hand over her jacket pocket where her cell phone was. "Wait, so we're all starting to work together now? All five of us? What happened to Jared?"

Kathryn continued to climb down the ladder in silence, the eerie quiet sending a chill up her spine. This is much longer than I expected, she thought and could have laughed at her own thoughts considering that she had not really been expecting anything. When she agreed to help find the book, never did she believe that they would unlock a secret passage. The irony was that now that they had stumbled onto the passageway-she could almost believe that the fantastical was possible. "How much longer do you think?" she called down to Don.

Don was farther ahead than Kathryn than when they had first started. The last few steps, Don jumped off and landed on his feet on the bottom.
"I've reached the bottom," he said, looking up at her figure after picking up the dropped torch. "And I'd say you've got about a story to go, so you've got a third of the way left."

"Alright, thanks." Kathryn called back to him. She continued to carefully make her way down, wanting to avoid at all cost another slip. After some time had passed, she chanced to look behind her, relieved to see that she was nearing the end and Don was waiting below with the torch in hand. After another some odd minutes passed, she finally stepped down from the last step, relieved to be on level ground once again, and turned to face Don. "Well, I for one am glad you dropped that torch-trying to find my way in unfamiliar territory in pure darkness has little appeal to me," she said with a wry grin. "So shall we continue?" she asked.

(shoot... I had totally forgotten that you had posted that... I'm so sorry! Life's been a little... hectic. If it's alright... can we just ignore that? lol)

Don nodded, and held out the torch. The passage was much smaller now. There was almost enough room for three to walk side by side, and the ceiling was so low that there was only a few inches between the ceiling at Don's head.
"At least now we can see both walls with one torch. And my guess is that the school must be pretty old to hold a place like this," he whispered, but in the empty hall it was loud. "We have to be underground now. Under the school," he added, noting the fact that it was really cool there...

(Sure that's okay with me, and I understand how it could have been overlooked-life can get hectic at times)

Kathryn shivered slightly from the cold, hoping that the passage would not get much narrower. She was shorter than Don, yet she figured if the tunnel got any smaller, both of them would have to start ducking to get through. "Yeah, no doubt about it," she whispered back, finding it odd to hear her voice bounce off the walls. Don's right. she thought to herself. The place must be old, she thought remembering the markings they had seen before, "I wonder what this place was something else before it became a school." she whispered again. "This passage might have made a good escape route," she added.

"Yeah I guess we are" Mary looked slightly taken aback for a moment before she regaind her footing; as it were. "This book must be pretty important for so many people to be looking for it and the teachers not wanting us too. Anyone know whats in it?" She asked them all, aiming it at no one in particuler.
"Yeah maybe.....but Kira and i just set off an alarm in there so all the Staff will be there at the moment...we could distract them again i suppose..."

"Hm, who knows except the ones who built it. And maybe the teachers," Don whispered back, and noticed Kathryn shivered. He took off his uniform jacket and held it out to her. "Here."

"Matt and I set off the smoke alarm. We were trying to help get Kira and Jacen out of the detention building. But... where is Jacen. He's not with you?"

Kathryn blushed slightly as she accepted his jacket. "Thanks." she said gratefully as she slipped it on, instantly feeling the warmth from it. "Well, I don't think I would ask the teachers about this place," she said quietly. "They seem to be a suspicious lot-I highly doubt they will be thrilled anyone found this place." she added as they continued to walk down the darkened corridor.

"Yeah. Though maybe we'll find the answer at the end of the tunnel," Don said with a shrug, as they continued on down the hall. Both were quiet for awhile, until Don couldn't bare it anymore and had to say something.
"So... since there's nothing else to do but walk, why don't you try singing for me?" he said with a grin...

Kira had remained silent for quite some time. She had enjoyed listening to the conversation going back and forth over this and that. However, once she heard "where is Jacen", Kira snapped back into the present world in belief that whoever said it was probably referring to her.

"Jacen is with Mrs. Allen," Kira answered with a hint of fear in her voice for the supposed accusations that were more than likely going to follow, "I was going to head back to get him out, but we kind of ended up here."
