I proudly proclaim that I LOVE COLDPLAY. However, people make fun of me for being a fan. I'm just wondering if anyone who disagrees with me wants to explain why you think they suck? Or if you like them as much as I do...why? which songs?

I really luuuv their music. Actually I never thought about why I love them. But most of the time I can't explain really why I like a piece of music.

I'm definetly not a fan. Though I'll never give anyone crap for listening to them and enjoying them.

I just personally find them very bland and uninspiring. The song Yellow however makes my blood boil irrationally.

If you like them, to hell with what anyone else thinks.

Awww. Yellow is my favorite song! It doesn't really matter if other people don't really like Coldplay, I'm just surprised because usually everyone agrees that the other bands I like are really good (Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Queen).

I think Coldplay are highly overrated. Like Phoenix, I just find their music so bland, uninspiring and just... dull!

There are no universal standards as to what "good" music is or what "bad" music is. That's to each their own. I don't get why people make fun of other people for liking a certain artist or band. You can't help what you like and you shouldn't have to defend yourself. There is no right or wrong when it comes to taste in music

Coldplay have always been quite close to my heart. I think you have to be in a particular type of mood to listen to them, but I still really like them. Some of their songs make me feel really nostalgic, and I love them for it.

I love them. His voice, the lyrics, pretty much everything. It's never really bothered me too mcuh what other people thought of my music taste. I've liked them for a long time though, before they got popular, so when they did get popular, it kind of bothered me that everyone liked them. But whatever. I enjoy listening to them. Very much.

I used to like them sth like 3 years ago, I haven't heard any of their songs for a long, long time but there's no reason to be ashamed of your music taste.

Don't let anybody make fun of you for liking the kind of music you like.Everybody likes different things,and we would all be boring if we all had the same opion.

Coldplay,imo,is a pretty good group..I'm not a fan of their music,but their style is very refreshing in comparision to the Heavy Metal and Rap out today.

I love Coldplay. For the most part I find that people either love them or hate them. For me, I find that their songs just put me in a kind of...reflective/hopeful/sometimes sad mindset which is unique to their music.

'A Rush of Blood to the Head' is definitely their best album & song (in my opinion). I have yet to buy their new CD...I should get on that. I've heard it's really good. Their 3rd album (X & Y) was a bit of a disappointment.

^Yeah, X&Y isn't that great, but Viva la Vida is as good as Parachutes and Rush of Blood. The title track's the best. You can stream the whole album free from links on the official website (I think).

Oh, some metal bands are really good. I wonder what genre Coldplay is in. It's really sort of pop music, but I hate to categorize it with the likes of Hannah Montana and Chris Brown (no offense, anyone).

Coldplay is one of my favourite bands.so i definately dont see any problem with liking them.i know different people have different music tastes and i have no problem with that either.i like all kinds of music.i dont see any reason to go around telling people what music they should or shouldnt like.everyone is different when it comes to music,thats why all music isnt placed in the same genre.that would be pretty boring wouldnt it?

I guess they're okay. Like any band, they have good songs, bad songs, excellent songs, and songs that make you want to bang your head against the wall. But overall, I would say yes, they are quite decent.

Coldplay are a bit like the styrofoam in deliveries; Fun to break in two and listen to the sound, but otherwise boring and uninspiring. Not bad, but I can think of better bands tbh....
