...raise your hand! ^_^ I absolutely adore it. Country has been my favorite category of music since I was young. Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Trace Adkins, Dixie Chicks, Blake Shelton...and many, many more. Of course, country isn't the only music I enjoy...
Basically, I love any sort of music, except for most rap. Classical, punk/rock, classic rock, country, today's rock...anything. But I'm most partial to country. ^^ Always will be.
So...what sort of music do you all enjoy? I'd love to know. ^^

Well I'm not a huge country fan, but its growing on me. I started listening to a lot of bluegrass about 2 years ago, and I've started liking country a little more. However, I think a lot of country music they play on the radio sounds the same. I like the stuff where a lot of talent is involved.
I love Johnny Cash and the Dixie Chicks.... though I'm a new Johnny Cash fan (ok yes, I started liking him after seeing Walk The Line) does anyone have any suggestions as to which album of his is the best?

Eh, I take it and leave it. My favourite 'country' music is John Denver, although I wouldn't classify his music as strictly country. I have to be in a certain mood to really listen to country.

I listen to a little bit of country...but like Belle, I think I like bluegrass more. I especially love Alison Krauss & Union Station.
Johnny Cash is awesome. I recently got The Legend of Johnny Cash, and it's a great cd. So that's my suggestion, Belle. It has some of his very best songs (imo) on it.

I grew up with country. Fisically I've grown up, and live in the city, but in my mind I'm in the country.
Some songs may sound the same, with the same sound. But to me, rap sounds all the same. I listen to the words in country, because they can be a story of somekind, or tell about something. Somethimes, though, it can be just nonsence!

Well I said that country was growing on me, but its what we listen to the most at work... and not the good kind of country. We listen to the stuff that all sounds the same and is all about broken relationships "boo hoo I want to die because you left me twaaaang twang twang." I am going crazy listening to it!

Well, I just don't like the songs about tractors and stuff.
It just doesn't appeal to me. I always tell people I listen to 'old' country, or just plain folk or bluegrass. I don't care for most modern country.

I like some country songs, yes. Considering that when I'm forced o listen to the radio because I forgot my walkamn with my PotC CD... alll my om listens to is country. SHE loves it. I LIKE it. I lie a few that is. All those songs I listen to on the Elizabethtown soundtrack are country! At least my friend claims... But yeah, I like it. ^^
