History:

Kíli was the nephew of Thorin II Oakenshield and was an heir to the throne of Erebor, one of the dwarven realms, which was taken from the dwarves by the fire drake Smaug. As Erebor was lost to Smaug, Kili was born in the Ered Luin, where his people had since taken refuge. He was one of the thirteen dwarves in the Company of Thorin Oakenshield, their mission to take back what was rightfully theirs - Erebor, the Lonely Mountain. On a Wednesday in TA 2941 he arrived at Bag End with his brother Fíli, both wearing blue hoods and silver belts and each carrying a bag of tools and a spade. Like most of the other dwarves not much is known about him in the journey, but when he is mentioned you’ll find that he and his brother are almost inseparable. Kili also plays the fiddle. During the quest he almost drowned, took an unexpected ride in a barrel (came out more or less smiling!) and was entangled in a spiders web, amongst other things. After seeing the pleasure of his homeland retaken, he died fighting bravely in the Battle of Five Armies loyally defending his uncle.
